Default Kenwood DNX692. How to update map to internal memory.

After reading all the posts on how to update update a dNX9990HD I was able to unlock the newest map from my Nuvi 2598LMTHD and set up a SD card with the directories provided. The only problem is I am unable to copy the newest map into my internal memory and have to leave the SD car in the unit to use the maps. I've tried to plug into the USB port as well but the unit will not recognize it. Is there something I am missing with the DNX692 unit? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello. I also have the DNX692 but have been unable to get my map to read from SD. I have the 2017.20 that I pulled from my NUVI with lifetime map updates. I finally got it to stop saying map file was corrupted but still get the maps are unlockable error even though they are unlocked according to Basecamp. Could you show my what your SD card looked like? What UNL files, etc? How about steps you took? Thanks!

Use gimgunlock+mapsigpatch. Maps are signed now, old unlockers don't work.
