As said by pm different Kenwood devices use different versions it depends on which files structure they have.
For example DNX7230DAB have a similar structure to nuvi 3xxx series and gets NTU maps and related additions.
Older devices having a structure similar to nuvi 1xxx series get NT map and few additions, probably no ASR etc.
There is not a rule to follow, must look at garmindevice.xml in Garmin folder:
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
All the supported files are listed along their paths and in red in .xml you can see Unicode map is supported by this kenwood device.

Old devices (before 2013) probably don't support NTU so use NT.
Be sure to have your Kenwood device latest firmware.
But wait for Kenwood experts for more info

    Hello dear JOYTURKX,
first, about what model Kenwood devices it's talking?
Not all Kenwood devices are the same and not all use NTU maps, or gmap3d, gmapdem, gmaptz, SID, G2S, SQLite and ASR files.
In the file garmindevice.xml for Kenwood devices you do not have to find more information.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

If your file garmindevice.xml for Kenwood devices provides more information, post it here without Id, RegistrationCode and all Unlock Code
Or better send it on my PM.

    Best regards.

GarminDevice.xml is contained in Garmin root folder.

Foursquare files will only work in devices which have the support for the feature in firmware, same as with others such as Voice Command ASR files for example. I think your questions have been answered clearly that it's not possible to have all possible files/features working across the whole Kenwood range [just as it isn't possible to have those features available to all Garmin PNDs]. Some have support, some don't. Look at each model's GarminDevice.xml file as already said.

I hope this is a joke you have 17 Kenwood devices and do not know how to get garmindevice.xml ? very bad, this means is business.
You can find garmindevice.xml in the internal memory of Kenwood devices.
For this, some devices must be connected to PC via USB min B.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

For some devices you can find garmindevice.xml:

1 Insert SD Card into your navigation unit.
2 On the navigation interface, touch:
Settings > System > About > Update Map
(This will initiate data export from the navigation unit onto your SD Card)
3 When the export is complete, remove your SD Card
4 Insert the SD Card into your computer

For some devices you can export file garmindevice.xml following the steps Photo:

    1. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 2 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 3. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    4. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 5. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 6. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    And go to 0: ( Disk ) find garmindevice.xml then copy to 1: ( SD Card )

I'm sorry, but I have not met any device Kenwood, which use Foursquare so far.
Maybe the last models, but I do not think.

Please use File Manager as in pictures and go to 0: ( Disk ) here you can see what files used (even the Foursquare, maps, or gmap3d, gmapdem, gmaptz, SID, G2S, SQLite and ASR files)
export on sd card the map then read map with GMapTool so find out what type of map uses NT or NTU (Unicode)

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    NT
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    NTU
    (Unicode)
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

if old map used is NT use all flies for NT or if old map used is NTU (Unicode) use all flies for NTU (Unicode) they were found with File Manager
About ASR I do not know what to say, but I tend to think that will not work

I have all devices checked. All 17 Kenwood devices working with NT v9 maps. kenwood.com offers NT 2014 map

1: How to work Foursquare from sd card only on a supported Garmin devices? (not for Kenwood)???
Exmple: sdcard: Garmin\D4935080A.sid, D4935080A.img or sdcard: map\Foursquare.img or what what???

2: If the jcv file supported on a Kenwood than which jcv file using to work?
    for NTU: D3048220A.jcv, D3373200A.jcv, D3589190A.jcv, D5218070A.jcv
    for NT: D2504200A.jcv, D3084170A.jcv

3:Kenwood has no own downgrade asr files but some Kenwood devices asr function. so asr files official coming now only for 3790 and 3490. I mean the asr files can be using from 3490 or 3790?
