    hello orak, exactly how do we enter preboot ?after resseting and whilst the kenwood is powered on then we connect those 2 wires? how will we understand thats the preboot on ?

    You will see device listed in updater.exe window

    Look picture 3 in post #75.

    Orak create for you step by step tutorial with picture, so please read all tutorial and look all picture and you will be able to repair your device.
    If you will not cerfully folow tutorial then you will have problem.

    hello mylona79, in pre-boot mode you will see this :

    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Orak hello. i have tried exactly as sou describe above forum no luck. i have separate 2 wires i have reset the unit (red triangle) after reset i have connected 2 wires then i connected usb but does not connect in pre boot mode

    You have installed the USB drivers for Garmin?

    If you not have installed drivers USB for Garmin, pc cannot be recognized in mode Pre Boot.
    Connect the 2 wires and leave them connected at all times to finish Step 7.
