Hi,
I am running iGO 8.3.2 on my Renault MediaNav car navigation unit, which has Windows CE 6 and a MIPS processor.
Everything is working very well, but I want to try to get TTS voices working.
Can someone upload the Dutch TTS voices for me please ?
And maybe tell me how I get it working ?
Very much appreciated.
Thanks
Downloaded the file and put them on my USB drive.
Followed procedure which I found somewhere, but when I select the voice (either female or male), iGO 8.3.2 crashes and closes down.
Hmm, it might be for Primo; iGO 8.3 is really old and you might have to look for Loquendo release. I do not have dutch voice for Loquendo but maybe someone might.
Try with this Dutch voice pack. It says Loquendo and IGO8.
Unrar (no pass) and copy into the IGO main folder

Thanks G-ulash,
I have installed these TTS voices and I see them in iGO.
I can select them (and iGO doesn't crash), but I don't hear any voice.
I do hear the "beep" when normally the voice should say something, but as said no voice.
What am I doing wrong ?
Did you also install the Loquendo "engine" (the DLL files plus the folder TTS_Loq) that came with the download ? These files are language dependent. The package should be a Dutch" unity.
Edit
I do not use TTS, so I can't give much help, only try to.
I found some sys.txt lines that can make the difference (or not). Feel free to try.
[tts]
tts_buffer=131072
tts_logics=3
priority="HIGH"
always_say_road_names=1
announce_street_name=1
announce_exit_directions=1
skip_exit_numbers=0
[sound]
queue_length=200
[debug]
tts_min_ready_wav=1
tts_getaway_time=200
tts_expected_engine_delay=1400
reserve_memory=2097152

Yes, I've put the folder "tts_loq" in the root (so it's a subfolder for root now) and put all the DLL files also in the root.
Then I've put the 2 files from the "voice" folder onto \storage card\iGo\content\voice folder.
I also added a line in sys.txt :
[sound]
csv_voice_enabled=1
I added some sys.txt lines in my previous post.
Maybe that is the solution? Anyway, you may want to delete (better rename) the save folder and try again.
Edit
Have found some other Dutch voices. Uploading now
