    @greegeh:

    You may to try rename all sound-files + change their names in SYS.TXT too.
    The folder whom I sent earlier is correct!

    fact 1.

    Android is UNIX/LINUX based operating system. The filesystem of this operating system does not recognize the gaps (between words) in file-names and folder-names. You must replace the gap with a break character such as "_" or "." or "-" etc. . This filesystem distinguishes uppercase and lowercase letters in file-names and folder-names too - it's a case sensitive filesystem. And also you must use reversed slashes in a directory path, not slash it uses WinCE system.

    So, Android may have a problem retrieving the files from the FAT32 file system on your SD card, despite the fact that FAT32 allows you to use the space in the name.

    fact 2.

    The SYS.TXT configuration file of iGO NextGen is more better as SYS.TXT file of iGO Primo - with the backward compatibility. The program has a number of new or modified features, which does not mean that they have less. Speedcam configuration from SYS.TXT is working in NextGen too, but some SKINs (Avic by pongo) may ignoring some settings of the SYS.TXT file!

    fact 3.
    So, some settings in the file SYS.TXT, the program can be ignored if you use the SKIN (UX folder in the root directory of iGO).

    @all others:

    Especialy for iGO NextGen with the "Avic skin pongo" is there a UX-utility known as "speedcam.zip" (my explanation is from version="Skin Avicsync by pongo 9.18.28.624772") which contains the another file "speedcam.zip/ux/speedcam/plugin.ini" where are predefined all sound filenames. For example... skin_first_sound="Fixed_Camera" entry for "Speedcam_Category:0" mean the new filename "Fixed_Camera", before the original filename "Speed camera".

    But you need to add a new code to the script and you must add a new folder for your country (with country code at the end of the filename):
    "iGO_Avic/ux_nextgen/audio/speedcams_COUNTRY-CODE/audio-files.wav"
    Where:
    - audio-files.wav are your audio files... they must be renamed by the content of "plugin.ini" file (exactly according to the same filename, which you find in the "plugin.ini" file)
    - speedcams_COUNTRY-CODE folder must be created manually (see above)

    The first script to update is "speedcam.zip\ui_nextgen\common\ui\speedcam.ui"
    ...at line 381 add the following line:
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    The second script to update is "speedcam.zip\ui_nextgen\common\ui\speedcam.lua"
    ...at line 489 you must add these two lines:
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    ...at line 858 (cca) you must to change or replace these lines (at the start of function code):
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    Then run iGO_Avic program, with pongo skin and select the language for your speedcam voice settings (Non-TTS) in menu:
    "Settings" > "Skin Settings" > "Warnings" > "Speedcams" > (scrolls down) "Speedcam Voice:" (selectyour language here)

    You can tests the sounds by scrolling back to "All Speedcam Audio Test".

    Of course, you can use an alternate directory of the country, and then copy the files there. Then set the speedcam sound for the country. However the avic skin pongo can benefit from the country setting later on other occasions - it would create a problem.

    I have only one problem, namely that the sound during testing configuration via speed cameras (over the Avic SKIN by pongo) hear only the first 1-2 seconds of an audio file, and then play the sound stops. This problem affects all files - even those in the folder "iGO_Avic/ux_nextgen/audio/"
    Animated%20Smiles%20Super%20%28268%29
    Unfortunately this does not help me, I think, as I'm not using and cannot use the pongo skin.

    @gregeeh:

    OK so a third time:

    Directory path is correct (igo-edition-program-name/ui_nextgen/audio/audiofiles.wav). What exactly is not working with you? Where exactly do you have a problem with audio files? You can not hear the warning sound speed cameras? Do you have turned off the "Text-To-Speech" in iGO settings? Indeed it applies certain priority in the configuration, such as:

    1. The running iGO or the active SKIN with the highest priority can change settings
    2. Set by scripts under "UX" or "ui_nextgen" and others which alter or affect or set the configuration of the entire program
    3. "DATA.ZIP" file may predetermine the configuration
    4. Last priority is the configuration file SYS.TXT

    So, you have a problem somewhere in that way;-). The question is to find out exactly where that is the problem. You must write detailed info ! Information that you use clean NextGen is really inadequate.

    You can try to change all the file names in the "audio" and also edit entries in the configuration "SYS.TXT" - for example:
    - the filename:
    Speed camera.wav
    >> Speed_camera.wav
    - the entry of SYS.TXT:
    approach_beep_sound="Speed camera" >> approach_beep_sound="Speed_camera"

    I hope you are aware of the fact that the sound alert for speed cameras working in the simulation of the route, but only during navigation in real time only (I wrote about it earlier).

    Simply I do not believe that it would not work, or it could be set in iGO NextGen :-/

    @lameriq:
    OK, I will expand a little and will try not to go overboard.

    My previous vehicle, also an Hyundai, had Primo 1.2/WinCE and used to only give beeps when approaching any of the warning categories. Hence I followed @Brown Dog's instructions creating ui_igo9 and ui_igo9\audio and placing the WAV files into the audio folder. Made his suggested changes to SYS.TXT and ended up with sound announcements instead of beeps for the warnings. All was good.

    I have now another vehicle but it has Primo Nextgen/WinCE and it gives me beeps also when approaching any of the warning categories. So I thought this would be easy, so I repeated exactly the same changes to SYS.TXT but placed the WAV files into ui_nextgen\audio instead of ui_igo9\audio. The result being the number of beeps approaching any of the warning categories has been reduced to 2 or 3 but no sound announcements. My present SYS.TXT is as follows:-

    Spoiler: sys
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links

    Note, I have only included Category 0. Plus these are the exact changes I previously made that worked on my old vehicle. The WAV filenames have spaces in them but this is OK as the OS is WinCE and not Unix.

    I have also attached screenshots of root, content and the ux folders hoping it will help.

    You have "speedcam.zip" file in UX folder. The UX utility is the problem. It is a original file ? Or do you have some downloaded files in UX folder from another skin ? There are some declarations with the path of files and directories, I think. I told it before - the file "speedcam.zip/ux/speedcam/plugin.ini".

    Nextgen adjust the sound of speedcamera alone, which means that SYS.TXT file with speedcam setting is ignored.

    You must change settings of speedcams over MENU in the iGO NextGen (if is it possible to do).
    Or modify the contents of the file "speedcam.zip" (backup! backup! backup!).

    Can you please upload the file "speedcam.zip" somewhere on the internet ?
    I am curious about its contents.

    Yes it is.

    No all original. Only changes were to SYS.TXT

    Cannot see where you told me about the declarations. Can you provide details?

    Nextgen adjust the sound of speedcamera alone, which means that SYS.TXT file with speedcam setting is ignored.
    Are you saying I should leave SYS.TXT alone and only change PLUGIN.INI in SPEEDCAM.ZIP?

    Once again, thanks for all your help.

    Yes, I mean "plugin.ini" which must contains the speedcam entries.

    I have problem with my WinCE emulator on Windows 7 now :-(. So, I can't collaborating now. I'm not sure if it could work through the directory "iGO/ui_nextgen/audio/" or whether it could it worked through a folder just in the core of the skin "DATA.ZIP", so now try both methods at the same time.

    Try this:

    1. backup the original files (make a copy):
      a) "iGO/ux/speedcam.zip"
      b) "iGO/DATA.ZIP"
    2. copy all audiofiles into:
      a) folder - "iGO/ui_nextgen/audio/*.wav"
      b) archive - "iGO/DATA.ZIP/ui_nextgen/audio/*.wav"
    3. copy all speedcam entries (designated for the SYS.TXT file) from the first post and put they into existing files:
      a) archive - "iGO\ux\speedcam.zip\ux\speedcam\plugin.ini"
      b) archive - "iGO\DATA.ZIP\project_config\igo_nextgen.ini" - In this case, you have to find the configuration section of [warning] and replace it + then please find the configuration section with [speedcam_category:??] and replace all these entries too.
      A notice: You can use Total Commander (file manager), press F4 to edit the file .ini, after making a changes in the file, you can close the editor and Total Commander will packing the file again.
    4. test it again please somewhere out during navigation, for example, artificially supplied stationary radar along the route

    Please remember that the file names on Windows systems must match at least in the gaps in the names :-)
    - filename: "Speed camera.wav" for the entry: approach_beep_sound = "Speed camera"

    If this does not work, you can try to use "speedcam.zip" of pongo skin or another SKIN designed for WinCE, copied into your "iGO/ux" folder. Then repair all entries (directories) in copied "plugin.ini" inside the new "speedcam.zip" archive.

    Somewhere on the internet can be found also modified the original version of NextGen by adding at least two sets of utilities to folder "iGO/ux" (as example: 1-"the_skin.zip" 2-"speedcam.zip"). Then is possible to do a changes of the voice settings in the MENU.

    Sorry, but I really do not know that if my method will work. I don't currently have any GPS-device with WinCE system and I can not test it now :-( .

    @lameriq:

    Will try your suggestions and let you know the results.

    One thing I forgot to mention is some of the changes I have made to SYS.TXT are working for the various speedcam categories. eg: If I change the active times for school zones :-

    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    Or decreasing or increasing approach_beep_distances gives me more or less beeps.

    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    It is just the WAV files are not being used.

    Anyhow, as I said previously will make the changes as you suggested and we will see.

    Thanks again,

    Greg

    @lameriq:

    Tried all your suggestions and I cannot get the WAV files to work (No speaking of the various speedcam categories). If fact it is worse removing the speedcam_category:X sections from SYS.TXT and placing them into the archives - "iGO\ux\speedcam.zip\ux\speedcam\plugin.ini" & "iGO\DATA.ZIP\project_config\igo_nextgen.ini". At least some of the entries worked when in SYS.TXT (see my previous post) but they do not work at all in the 2 archives.

    I think the problem is that the program does not know where to look for the WAV files. If I could work out this setting I believe it would work.

    Thanks again for all your assistance.

    Greg

    @gregeeh:

    You have to tell the program where they are posted audio files only if they are placed in a different directory. The default directory for Nextgen audio files is as I said before - "iGO/ui_nextgen/audio/*.wav". I think that according to the priorities are further subject to standard directories in DATA.ZIP and then UX utility. The highest priority should be given directory "ui_nextgen/audio/" at the root of iGO. You have to check the fit or file names with the names of writing the configuration (case sensitive comply and will also better not to use spaces in file names).

    However, if used, for example Pongo skin, then the situation is more complex. In my case the camera warning function was working correctly by playing audio files. Now, however, I switched to the new version Pongo skins (2016-06-15). I set everything as before, but the alert on radar now works quite differently. The situation with the use of the skin is much more difficult (in my case), as the skin is always updating and changing its code (specifically UX utility of skin - "speedcam.zip").
