    Hi morco,
Always thanks for your work and time you spend ...
I wanted to ask if you can take example from your ux highway traffic light signals,
UX with the possibility of a single icon in speedwarner
For example, if I wanted to add a warning icon Park Bus Station.
Sorry for my english .. to have been understood
    Add icon:

    @ drivegps

    2 problems

The speedcam images in your UX file have been created on a black background. For my Traffic light image to function correctly, it requires a transparent background.

Your UX file has missing code and some code errors.

I am sorry, but there is too much work for me to correct it all.

    regards

I just drove 900 miles and tested the light signals...it worked almost everywhere....
although there are instances when you are on interstate and there is a signal below the bridge..it still gives you the warnings...any idea to avoid it...probably using some line in sys..

    @desiparis

Glad to here it mostly worked. I have noticed that the traffic light data doesn't have 100% cover but there's not many missing. It doesn't seem to cover traffic lights at pedestrian only crossings.

Regarding the false alert issue -

I initially processed the traffic light data as bi directional in the "speedcam.txt" in an effort to eliminate false alerts but quickly realised that the default bi directional feature is north south unless you set an angle as well.

Given the vast number of traffic light positions there is no feasible way of setting each individual angle. so I set the alert as omni directional.

I'm not aware of any sys.txt entries that can overcome this problem, so I think we might be stuck with this problem.

For individual ones that you know, there is always primos "built in" alert point editor that you can use

I think you're confusing "Traffic Light Camera" with "Traffic Lights" This thread is about having alert at intersections with Traffic Lights (regardless of camera or not) Not as useful as "Stop Sign" alerts (which is part of map) and help a lot when driving at night. In unfamiliar territories, I guess a warning that traffic light is ahead could be useful, especially if you're driving drunk

Update: Data seems to be similar to OSM via query highway=traffic_signals, which is horribly incomplete in my area The data in post #1 is not just for USA, it included Canada (I only sampled a few) It also have a lot of duplicates*. Here are the break down by states; which is better since no need to carry the entire huge dataset (over 220,000) if you're only going to be driving locally**

    * checking exact lon,lat values and not counting the multiple entries added for an intersection (ie: 4 or more for each street)
** I'll post it if there are interest
