Copy the raster file to a directory: iGO/Raster/Content.

One thing though: Should be iGO/Content/Raster.

I have just tried to load iGO8_8.3.5.231128 onto a RAC satnav and when I click on the program EXE file I am getting a map initialisation error stating that your map files are outdated. please visit your local dealer. I have downloaded the 2013.09_8.3TT map for the UK and put it in iGO/content/map folder, are there any other files that I need to put in there with the map. Thanks for any help given

I have sorted it out, I had the .fbl file in a map folder inside the content/map folder but now it keeps trying to shutdown repeatedly but never does and I don't know why.

As long you are using iGO8.3.5, you should put in map folder only the files -> fbl, fda and ftr. The others(fda, fjw, fsp and hnr) will not be recognized by iGO8.3.5. They are specific only for iGO Primo(or Becker).
On the other hand, the message with "outdated maps" is due to license issue, so you will need some "fresh" license.
