nextgen IGO NNG Navigation Android - Import routes from PC

    Hi together,
I have a question. Does anybody know, how to import routes, created on a pc in GPX or KML file format in the IGO NNG software on android smartphone. In which folder I have to copy the files?
    Version I have is iGo Navigation 9.18.27.693527 fro.m 2017.

It works under older IGO Primo under WIN CE, but the folder structure on the android is complete different.

    Kind regards

    Andy

    Hi,
seems not working for me ....
    I put a route.kml into 'Phone\Android\data\com.nng.igo.primong.igoworld\files\privdocs\InappShop\Mount\route'
but how do I find this route in the menu? It does not show up under 'saved routes'

Is there any other file or setting I need to change?

    Thanks!

    Edit:

I was able to confirm with "ANDROID iGO Navigation 9.18.27.702387 - 1.jun.2017":
Routes import works with .kml-files in .../iGO/content/userdata/route

    Hi.
Hope someone can make it clear to me how to import gpx routes into iGO Nextgen 9.18.27.687519 - Pongo skin.

I downloaded a gpx route and I understood that I have to convert it to kml to make it work in iGO.
So I did that online and got a kml file.

As I read above I have to create a subfolder " route " in the folder " userdata " so I did and placed the kml file in it.
Nothing is visible in iGO ( or I cannot find it ? )
In the " route " folder nothing happens, still only the kml file after restart iGO.

When I place the kml file in the " poi " folder I got 3 files, kix, kml, kns.

But still I cannot find the route in the menus.

    what do i wrong ?

First, the KML must be structured exactly like one for POI.
A GPX is usually a tracking list, better limited to route / waypoints.
the KML for route planning is then called up via -> new route -> saved route

    the right Way structure KML;
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <kml xmlns="http://earth.google.com/kml/2.2">
    <Document><name>Name of the route</name>
    <Folder><name>Waypoints</name>
    <Placemark><name>first Waypoint</name>
    ..............................</kml>

    Path:
    iGO_xxxx\Content\Userdata\Route\my_Route1.kml (UTF-8)

    Test KML with:
    googleEarth and polsky POIConverter
    +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
an existing Route is saved as .... (default route 001), then under
    iGO_xxx\save\profiles\01\users\00\routes\route001.dat
    Spoiler: further explanation

the problem: creating a route with googleMap on the PC is done with TomTom-Map and also puts together umpteen waypoints.
Right; these can be saved as GPX and / or KML.

If this route (userdata \ Route \ google.KML) is called up under -> New route -> Saved route, an iGO with HERE-Map has its problems, and google.KML is not 100% iGO-compatible.
Therefore it is better to edit with RouteConverter beforehand and to limit the route to desired waypoints, intermediate and final destinations, i.e. edit. The KML stored in this way for iGO is then compatible and can be safely called up and processed by iGO.

As a camper, I have already done this every time before my trip under iGO 8.3 and in this way compiled my route to camper sites
    ------------------------------------------------

In Pongo Skin of this year the ROUTE and MYDEST folders are there, do you have the latest update?

I have never used these methods and I don't know if converting a route from gpx to kml works, but a user told me it worked and I wanted to try.

Follow the directions to create your itinerary in kml here:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

after that put the kml file in the ROUTE folder, start iGO and go to New Route/Saved Routes and you will find your itinerary, i tried it right now.

It also works whit Arimi's Skin, I copied the ROUTE folder with the itinerary on Pal and it sees it.

    I've tried this Path: Content\Userdata\Route\waypoints\Trip001.gpx

    Without success.

Is there a way to show up a GPX file in iGO (PAL), without converting it to KML?
