i dont understant all this problems.Igo Avic has the most clear view in map
The view is too good even... unfortunately more than 1/2 of your streets don't have labels.

So lets do a scenario. You need to get to 5922 West Street... and its not a major street.
*Igo randomly pops up labels and you are already past where you need to make your turn.
*Maybe you didn't set a destination because you somewhat know the area and you are foiled again when the label shows up too late..
*or it shows the two other streets ahead you don't care about, omitting the one you want.

This is all no fun at 45mph when all the corners look the same and traffic flow prevents easy lane changes... ones you could have planned for if you saw what is ahead.
I don't know if I'm too dependent on navigation but its how I "roll"

Yep, that's one of the few things that NNG can improved on. I would like more intelligence on showing streets. I would also like to see up coming street show up at top when you drive around without route. I find that using street label on the street instead of always horizontally boxed, gives better/more street labelling.

i try all Igo models android and wince. only in Igo8 you see all streets names on roads. In wince version you see much more labels than Androidi,in Nextgeen. If i remember well, its much better if remove from ux files cursor_position.zip,and fix mapfontscale in sys and only if streets names are on roads. We hope in future for better results from nng

I just want to share my findings. Remember I reported that this version crasehd on me when it's zooming out. If you go into sys.txt and put a max_memory = 512MB (type it in bytes) or higher, the problem goes away and the program runs smoother. This was plaguing the Igo Primo and it still plagues Nextgen. NNG just is not fixing it. Anyways, sharing my view. if you have crash problem (i have a Samsung s5 and note 5, powerful phone by all means), you should try this.

    nextgen Issue while launching Avic...

    Hi

    no problem for me but...

One friend with another Galaxy-S2 (same phone as me...) and one with the Xperia-SP encountered an issue while launching Avic version :

APK installation worked well, but soft stops after this message "reading AVICSYNC..." and they go back to Androďd's home panel each time !!!

Licenses are the same as my ones and files are in there good folders... No skin...

    Don't understand why...

Please, does someboby have any idea ???

I did some sys.txt changes to add more labels in both primo and nextgen... so it is possible, I have way more bubbles than that screenshot. On mine its just missing a few streets, he is missing 90%.

Sure.. open adb shell and take a logcat while its starting. You will know pretty quick.

I found the problem when I use an original AVIC data.zip. It seem like incorrected display on Select Car Model screen on "Setting > Navigation View > Map Appearance" when I change it to Non-Latin languages e.g. Thai.

How to solve it? Thanks in advance.

it is problem with lang file. dicionary is not translated well. im using non latin lang, and everything is ok. also my lang is not in original nextgen,so i use translation of older lang version. look at your lang file inside content folder. or download original avic from gp,unpack it and transfer original lang files to content.
you can translate your own lang. u must translate original englisch to your lang. about 5000 text lines. use notepad++

You can not solve it. You can just replace data.zip that contains bug.
If the creator of the file failed to include all the possible variants, we only have to wait himself to correct.
Unless you do not want to do it yourself

Hello, can someone help me. I have this version on the phone Galaxy S5. But that phone does not have SIM card. I want to use this phone as my GPS in car. While using it, it keeps disconnecting from satellite and reconnecting to satellite....I turned off all Online services (assuming that uses cell towers), and it still does that. Isn't this thing OFFLINE and just need the GPS chip and it should work? WTF.
