    I have been testing on the new 28-03 skin with the new data.zip, for users using UK regional format of mph I have noticed the following;

    If the_skin_Avicsync_by_pongo.zip contains the following folder media_libs with voice file code_advanced.lua in engine_1_0 and engine_1_1 then the over speed warning does not state the actual speed value it only says "The speed limit is miles".

    If you delete media_libs folder from the skin and use the new data.zip the over speed warning states the correct speed value. for example if you were driving in the 20mph and you go over this limit, then the warning heard is "The speed limit is 20 miles".

    I therefore conclude that this folder is not needed as we have a new data.zip which does all this now correctly.

    I cannot say this the case for users using kph, perhaps someone can test this and report back.

    1) I have modified the the_skin_Avicsync_by_pongo.zip to add the following features, I re worked the "additional sounds" option under skin Settings -> System to provide 2 options;
    a) Camera sounds on/off
    b) Menu Button Sound on/off

    2) Changed the simulation function slightly in that when you have a route selected and you press on the simulate button it will now go directly to simulation mode and not show the route summary information when you exit from simulation.

    3) Deleted the "media_libs" folder to make the over speed warning work correctly.

    Please find enclosed the updated skin. enjoy.

    This has been bugging me for a while now. Being a UK user all warnings about Cams and speed limits are as you stated and not actually giving you the limits.

    I'll give your modded zip a test run and report back if there is any change.

    👍

    Make sure you use this with the latest data.zip from the first post.

    Your mod works perfect, gave it a test drive and road speeds and alerts work fine, all with spoken speeds.

    Thanks

    You have to remove the whole ux folder and Data.zip file. Allso remove the Save folder. After that copy new ux folder and new data.zip to root. Never mix files together. If you use a new version, you allways have to remove save folder.

    The pongo-supplied data.zip contains 'original' untouched code_advanced.lua files...therefore they are incomplete. No camera distance numbers are announced. The ability to enable camera distance is contained within the skin code_advanced.lua versions. All works perfectly with all the skin supplied files as long as Kilometers are chosen as the distance unit, but apparently not with Miles.
    If camera distance announcements are important, the solution is one of two things:
    1) Modify the code_advanced.lua files within the data.zip to add camera distance capabilities.
    or
    2) Keep the skin files intact but modify them to work correctly with miles.
    Attached is a code_advanced.lua file that I have successfully used in the past, but I have no idea if it works with miles and I cannot test it at the moment.
    Feel free to try it. If it does not work correctly with 'miles', you may have to decompile the data.zip version and compare it to find where the issue is, then edit the attached to comply.
