Also, before anyone asks, I have 4 different Chines gps systems that have ran all versions of iGo, but on 2.4, the POIs haven't worked for me.
Pardon me if this has already been said, but have you updated the global_cfg to the latest version?

I have no idea what global_cfg I have. Does this have anything to do with the POI? I would go out on my balcony and scream if this was the problem.

Absolutely! Global_cfg affects POIs. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Goes into content\global_cfg. Do not unzip.

I haven't tried it yet, but I feel the above scream will be called for when I get it working because of the global_cfg.

EDIT: When I test different software I basically keep the CONTENT folder untouched, so my global_cfg could be as old as methusela.

EDIT 2: I just checked a backup I made thgis spring. The global_cfg is from 2011.

Well, at least you know enough to make a back up. BTW, do you have a razor to shave the hair off your very old global_cfg?

    Haha. Nice one!

I'll have more time on the weekend to play around with it and I'll let you know.

OK, so I just screamed on the balcony.

I d/l the latest global_cfg and I now see the POIs. One step closer.
AND...When I first turned it on I saw MY icons for gas, accommodations, Restaurant etc. But when I went into a category It was showing a generic icon. So that's 1.5 steps closer to getting it to work on 2.4.

You were able to manage the icons in iGO8 but not in Primo. Just one of the reasons I like iGO8 better. You might be able to modify an icon in the branding.zip but you need the icon download first. Not sure if it's worth the trouble.

    I haven't used iGO8 in around 7 or 8 years. I didn't know it was still around :D

Oh yes it is. IMO, iGO8's routing is much better than Primo. I also like its options much better. You can modify more and I can make its Loquendo TTS voices say almost anything because I [with the invaluable help of Kamoteka] made the .lex file in English rather than the confusing computerese. What's old is what's new.
