    Default Speed up iGO

    Hi all,

I have a china no name device with wince 6 and 256 mb ram
I have tested iGO Primo 9.6.13.405512 and NextGen Mappy with HERE 2016.Q2 maps.
This software's and maps works but its to slow.

I have 408 license files in the license map, maybe i can use only licenses i need?
I have delete all maps, buildings, tmc, phoneme, speedcam and poi files i dont need.
I have only Netherlands, Belguim, Germany and France files.
Also i have deleted all the content inside dem.
I dont use TTS and i have only 1 file for language and voice.

When i listen to music on a sd card iGO is crashing, listening radio no problems.
Which files can i remove to speed up iGO?

Remove all licenses not needed/used. And all of your license files better be *.lyc since NextGen doesn't uses *.lic

Use licenses included in Europe 2016.Q1&Q2 Nextgen (TT-Here) pack from this thread:

Device like yours can easily handle more than you deleted. DEM, maps and pois are no problem.
Nevertheless, these are general tips for fast iGO:
You need max 5-6 licences, nothing more, take latest for used map providers (Caty's link). You can put speedcams of countries you are using no problem, tmc also.
Firstly, my advice is to be used only pure software package (Primo or NG). Use data.zip that covers only resolution of your device (Primo, 800x480 I guess).
    Delete unnecessary:
    - branding.zip (if there is any)
    - skins
    - schemes
    - car files
    - extra files if there are any: ftr, fpa, fda, hnr
... put only minimal set of ux if you are using them
Additional problem may be SD card. Low quality, slow, damaged.... Try with other, they are very cheap now.
Or, at the and, may be device itself (problem with reading the card, defective...).
I think I covered all possibilities.

    Dear All,
In addition to what Boki_Srb said,
Installing iGO Primo/NextGen on Internal Memory and Keeping heavy content(building, dem, map, poi, speedcam, tmc and voice files) on External SD card [addon\content folder]also help avoiding App Crash issue.
I red it somewhere that, once the contents are loaded in memory, proggy does not "read" too much from external SD card and hence it improves performance.

How to install App in internal memory and keeping content on external SD card

    Hi uckagit.

One can setup App in Internal Memory and content in addon folder on external SD. This implies to WinCE Platform as well. Cause, these the settings in sys.txt.

Well, no. For WinCE also depends of system, launcher, etc...and it is much easier then for Android, do not complicate things unnecessarily .
Basically, it is enough to put at an external card addons folder, appropriate structures within it (map, poi...), and the software automatically on boot is reading it.
At several standalone devices that I install, I did not written anything in sys. Only at few of them. I'll check latter for precise infos.
And at the end, bigger problem, at 2din devices not always easy to insert the software to the internal memory.
Also, believe it or not, modern SD (class 10+) cards are often faster than internal flash, so that even load faster from it. So heavy content is recomended to put on her (DEM etc...). Only pure software on internal if you want, but whole package is much simplier for handling.
