    Default Help for a newbie?

    Hi all,
    I'm new on here and could do with a little guidance (pun intended) to get me started.

    I have just installed a Chinese Double din head unit in to the motor. (Xtrons 966 dab, runs wince6)
    The navigation, when it starts up says
    IGO, my way, Primo.
    Good start lol.
    My initial questions are .........
    1. How do I find out which version Im running?
    2. none of the voices will announce Street names? Thats TTS right?, any way to get that working.
    3. If i bought an eBay version will that get TTS working or will i still have to delve into the inner workings?

    There has to be a way to get data into/from your DIN. Either there is a jack to plug it into computer or from external memory card like microSD. If your DIN comes with microSD and you can get to it; first thing you should do after removing it, is to back it up (copy all content to your computer). Then snapshot content (directories and files) on that card and post so we can investigate.
    "TTS contents" goes in same level as main proggy (for Primo, most of them uses iGO directory). Then the TTS voice file should be under iGO/content/voice directory.

    ok then....
    Im running version 9.2.0.191493

    Heres the bit from the sys.txt that mentions tts.

    [tts]
    tts_buffer=131072
    announce_exit_directions=1
    tts_logics=3
    priority="HIGH"
    always_say_road_names=3
    announce_street_name=1
    skip_exit_numbers=2

    However, in content/voice folder there are no files mentioning tts,
    so i guess thats the problem?
    in the voices page in the car, tts is greyed out

    From what I'm reading, i think, i need to
    a) locate and download a tts voice (zip) file. Would any tts voice do or are they specific for each version? (English - uk - kate would be fine )
    b) copy it into the voice folder
    Then I'm lost
    Read something about .dll files but don't know what these are or where to put them???
    Any help would be super appreciated
    Thanks.

    Thank you.
    I'm on WinCE6.
    Next problem.... I don't have either of those folders (tts_nua_v5 or tts_loq)?
    Only folders i have in root are, content, license and save.
    So I guess I need to download the full engine too?

    You found solution yet? Hard to believe they put Primo 1.2 on a WinCE6 device.
