help iGO for Pioneer F 260-2

    Hi,

I am struggling to get any of the files here to work with my Pioneer F260-2 as a result I am unable to use any of the maps/speed camera files from this forum.

The best I can get is to the loading screen - the software then crashes and then tries to reload. Would appreciate if anyone could help.

    Thanks

Did you even read specification of device? Visited Pioneer/Avic forum?
That unit is only add-on for main HU in car. What is your model?
On SD card only content is located. Where is software? In HU? Original? Licenses?
Unit probably need to be hacked.

Warmly suggestion - register on next forum and find all answers there:

I did have a look at the avic site, but did not find anything for this unit. The F260-2 is attached to AVH-X58090DAB headunit.

I have the original SD card with licenses which work absolutely fine - but update costs are very steep.

I tried all combinations, without dash, with spaces, still nothing.

Anyway, that is a "problem" with big names devices - AVIC, ALPINE, BLAUPUNKT, CLARION...ZENEC... etc.
If you do not find a solution in specialized forums, you'll hardly find it anywhere else.

Do not PM me with questions. That's what a forum is for.

Sorry for the typo. It's indeed the x5800dab head unit and F260-2. Not sure what the difference is between the f260 and f260-2.

    Absolutely irrelevant
Until someone finds a way to access the main HU (not navi add-on) and enable its unlocking and hacking, nothing can be done.

Until then, pay Or change system if it is possible and if you will.
You gave 550£ for HU and 350£ for add-on (I guess), then software price does not matter.

I was under the impression that it was just the F260 causing the issue. And with respect to pricing - I was very lucky with price as I paid - less than £400 in total for both. The maps are around £70-80, which is almost quarter of the price - which is very steep imo. Also have to pay for traffic and speedcamera information/updates. I'll post on the avic forum just incase there is a fix otherwise I will wait or just use software on my phone when the NAV unit doesn't have the details.

Not to cause any offence but just one additional comment, people's financial situations can change or someone may have saved up a long while to buy something.

I am very thankful for the advice and help.
