Default shed some light on licenses please

    Hello,

I got a brand-unknown-gsp-device from china. With WinCE and iGo Primo Camper/Truck software.
On it is a map called "LICENSE", with the following contents:
    ACTIVATION_CODES
    Becker_BDC10_Application_1_2011-06-20_BDC10.lyc
    Becker_BDC10_Base_1_2011-06-20_BDC10.lyc
    Becker_BDC_Content_2_2011-06-20_BDC10.lyc
    Becker_BDC_TMC_1_2011-06-20_BDC10.lyc
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    device.nng
    Europe_map_NQ_Primo_2012_Q1_FSP.lyc
    Full_Europe_NQ_Subscription_2009_Q3.lic
    iPhone_Primo_ISR@1101_(NNG,_DEM,_PST...R)_(v2.1)_.lyc
    Mega_Free_1_Year_Update_FEU_NQ_2016_Q1.lyc
    Mega_Free_1_Year_Update_FEU_TA_2016_Q1.lyc
    Navon_Primo_FEU@10Q1_(NQ+NNG,_DEM,_C...R,_HSP)_F_.lyc
    NNGicenseempo_Primo_AusNzl@R18_R7_(S...,_JV,_SPC).lyc
    Primo_FEU@10Q4_(NQ,_3DL,_ExtPost,_TT...1)_(v2.1)_.lyc
    server_configs
    Tempo_GOGO1602_Primo_GoCruise.lyc

Map on it is: Here 2016.Q1, pretty recent I think/hope.

    Questions:
1 - Where are all those license files for?
    2 - Is there a minimal set?
3 - Do I need specific license for maps, speech, functions......?
4 - how to know which license belong to some function?

    Thanks

    Hi, mijntomtom

Let me first point you to this thread:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
where you can find many but not all answers to your questions.

It is good to know all that, but most important question for you is:
Is your navigation working as it should or not?
If not then first explore forum, and search for answers that are already here.
If you find out that your questions are not already answered, and knowledge that you gain this way is not enough to solve your problem,
then you ask question in thread that is discussing your problem or is most similar to problem you have.
If there is no such thread then you open new thread in this section:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

If you are asking this just to learn something about it, than best way to do it is not asking, but searching and reading.

Welcome to the forum, and please read this:

    Thanks for your thoroughly answer.
I did find the license collection. Does my navigation working as it should? I don't know. No error messages, but it could be that some license adds some extra functionality. That is not explained elsewhere, otherwise I couldn't find it. The license collection is big, but what I'm missing is the description or explanation of the particular licenses. Now I have 14 licenses in the map, do I need them all? can it hurt when i add the complete license pack?

You can use as many licenses you like.
You can try any license pack, it could not "hurt" your device.
If something does not work well, you can always restore old version (if backed up before)
On my Primo I'm using this package:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    And everything works for me.
Just remove all contents from license folder and put there complete structure from post
