    help iGO PRIMO DOES NOT MEMORIZE EXACT ROUTES

    Hello fellas

    I tried saving a route with iGO PRIMO and it saved it but when loading it, it changes the route.

    if I save alternative route option 3 and load it iGO PRIM loads the route but with option 1 EASY 1 not EASY 3 alternative route especially if I transfer it to another device.

    Why PRIMO keeps changing my modifications to the route, why it cannot simply load exactly like I saved it.

    If I save it using FAST route and modify it like that for example AVOID BORDER CROSSING, next time I load PRIMO (if my route settings is easy) it load route and change it according to my route settings (EASY) not like I SAVED IT.

    This is either big bug or I am missing something....

    Thx

    So far as I can tell what you are describing is normal iGO behavior. When you save a route all that is saved is the start point, end point, and waypoints. When you load a saved route iGO recalculates it based on whatever parameters (fast, easy, motorways, tolls etc) are currently set in your device.
    If you need to force a particular route you need to add lots of waypoints. If you choose this option I suggest you add
    [itiner]
    pass_via_distance=1000
    to sys.txt. This means a waypoint is considered reached when you pass within 1000m of it and helps prevent the programme routing you to pedestrian-only squares and the like.

    The "start point" is not saved, it's taken from GPS locked. Also I've seen route taken differently depending on the compass direction you're facing. Don't forget if you are using .fsp/.hsp your route "could" be different depending on time of day.

    Just to be clear - if you set a start point it will definitely be saved as part of the route, but obviously not if you start your route from "present location".

    One of the thing that I misses from Primo vs NextGen is the ability to set starting point.
