Default "newbie" igo primo speedcams dynavin

    ok gents,

    complete novice.(silver surfer)

I have the dynavin system in my car,it runs igo primo on a removable sd card.

I believe I have all the settings correct in the alerts and warnings section of the options menu within the program, but it just will not pick up any gatsos,......
    no alerts,....nothing.

I am studying the forums, but may be suffering from information overload.

if someone could point me in the direction to get help,i would be greatful.

ideally a step by step guide from a blank sd card - to up and running would be perfect for a post I believe.
    especially for us new ones.
    thank you...perry.

"it just will not pick up any gatsos"
When driving? When testing next to your computer?
First of all, have you got a satellite lock, thus your position is correct and actually determined by satellite? Because showing speedcams only when having satellite lock.

    Hi there friend,
thanks for getting back to me on this one.

yes I try it out whilst driving and indeed deliberately past a few speedcams in my area.
the gps lock however may be the cause, but I am unsure of how to determine if I do have satellite lock.

Is there a way to find out sir?
    regards
    Perry.

You have satellite lock when the cursor is at the map at the place you are (approximately) on the street and the cursor follows your position.
Anyway, are there no speedcams on those spots only or nowhere at all? Do you have a speedcam file in content/speedcam folder? Maybe it's not a correct one.

As far as I can see with my limited knowledge,i believe the navigation is working,
as the position curser moves as I drive alond, showing my place correctly.

looking on the sd card I have a file path mobilenavigator/content/speedcam
in the speedcam file there are the following...

    speedcam.spdb 173kb

    SpeedcamUpdates.spud 0kb

    UnitedKingdom-speedcam 167 kb ....... this is a text file

bear in mind I have probably messed around with the folders like a pillock .

Is it poss on this for a to find a "complete" package to install to my sd card and begin again ideally uk or Britain only?

    thanks for you patience.

I think the solution is to download a new speedcam file. ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ])
To my knowledge, the (POI Plaza) speedcam file (text file) for the UK is about 450 kb, yours 167 KB, so logically, some cams must be missing.
A txt file should be placed in the EMPTY speedcam folder, then on a restart, the programs creates the database (.spdb)

Hello again, and thank you for the advice,

I did follow your instructions, and now have all singing and dancing speed camera alerts.

Thank you so much for your help.
I'm looking forward to tinkering with some of the settings with a little more confidence.....thanks to you.
