    You're actually using Primo and not just NextGen? Me become just a similar problem, but this is about the Avic_skin_pongo with NextGen. After activating UX utility "grid_menu_layout.zip" program running constantly in landscape mode only.

    This "multimode.ini" is wrong... there are commented two lines m5 + m6 and the another lines with entry m3 + m4 are double :-/

    You can again try to use my entry of above... but with the entries what nikel posting up there:
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    - this is for 800_480 folder of Data.zip (or any.....skin.zip) file ! otherwise iGO Primo give you the error - "unsupported resolution by used Skin or by used Data.zip"
    - if you have 1280_600 data.zip file now, remove it and copy back the standard Data.zip file with 800_480 resolution support
    - to that of "multimode.ini" do you need change the "SYS.TXT" file by following entries:
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links

    - if you want to try 1024_768 folder of the "Data.zip" file for your tablet, then use these entries please:

    - "multimode.ini" :

    m1=400..480,196..320,"480_272"
    m2=234..320,400..480,"480_272"
    m3=800..960,400..600,"800_480"
    m4=480..600,700..960,"800_480"
    m5=951..1280,527..800,"1024_768"
    m6=504..800,951..1280,"1024_768"

    - "SYS.TXT" :

    [Android]
    show_status_bar=0 ; system notification bar / status bar
    fullscreen=1
    tablet=1

    [rawdisplay]
    screen_xy="1024_768:1024x528/600x952:fullscreen"

    Hi lameriq !
    Are you sure that the real screen resolution for programs in 'full screen' is 1024x600 and 600x1024 ? For example - tablet Digma.
    In technical characteristics screen is 1024x600. But a max screen for programs is 1024x552 and 600x976 .

    Hi there!

    Physical resolution is 1024x600.
    iGO applicable resolution is 952x600 (was posted by msigler before).

    Physical vertical resolution minus cca 72dip (almost all tablets) => the answer - software resolution, without notifi-bar & with control-bar from Android OS.
    1024-72=952 (951)
    600-72=528 (527)

    Yes... 48dip of the control panel + 25dip of the notification bar (status bar) = 72dip (73 dip in some case I dont know why). I dont know what is the true.

    - also, dp (dip) and px (pix) are different:
    Google source:
    dp is not "dimmensional pixels" . it's "(density) dependent pixels" . they are based on the density of the device , not the resolution .

    for example , for application icons , it's always 48 dp , since on mdpi(160 dpi) , 48 dp== 48 pixels . therefore , on hdpi (240 dpi) , it's 48*1.5=72 pixels , on ldpi(120 dpi) it's 48*0.75=36 , and on xhdpi (320 dpi) it's 48*2=96 pixels
    I wrote "dip" units, but I mean "pix" units :-). I am not Android developer, but CPU programmer (Assembler progr. language). I have from the Android systems total chaos already. Every developer says something else (quite a different figure for the notification-bar and other data for the control-panel). Even the official website of development that the Android system is often writes on data 48dp +25dp => in the 240dpi density it is meaning 72px (=48dp) of controlbar + 37px (=25dp) of statusbar. So, we can ignore the statusbar (count off him). Then is there only one value - the value of controlbar what we need only (48dp / 72px on the 240dpi density as the most often display resolution).

    DP are visible points by users on the display and based on DPI-value (Dots-Per-Inch).
    PX are physical points on the display, what users can watch with the magnify glass only :-).

    I don't know the graphic engine of the Android platform. It is better to specify the amount of DP units in the control-bar/notification-bar, but the harder it is converted into pixels. Then, according to the DPI of a particular display can be determined by the control-bar/notification-bar height in pixels.

    In my opinion the problem is not in iGO setting or adjusting resolution. The problem is probably in the settings of Android hardware (system settings). Automatic switching between Landscape/Portrait must always work. After a clean install, iGO usually can not find the location of files and folders or iGO can not find the correct resolution, but switch to the Landscape/Portrait must always work in my opinion. The program usually closes or freezes, if the problem is really in iGO.

    lameriq, if you need only max program screen size use this tool:
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    Use upper right toggle bar of this program to verify a screensize in 'full screen' mode.
    Keep in mind that some devices can ignore the 'full screen' mode.
    Eg. you get 1024x552 and 600x976.
    Then you should have:
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    If iGO still have some bugs in switching to/from landscape/portrait mode, add:
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    The first program start after installation can be with error

    @victor777:
    I know about the tools for screen resolution detection :-) . The entries "screen_x, screen_y, screen_x2, screen_y2" are not neccessary in SYS.TXT, if you have used the entry of screen resolution - "screen_xy". It is the same - both of them.

    @msigler:
    So, after adjustment your own latest posts already know what is using your smartphone as the software resolution. The "CONTENT (WHITE) AREA" => landscape height = 471px & portrait height = 905px. So, finally, you can try to use the entries of section [rawdisplay], which wrote victor777.

    But the problem with switching to/from landscape mode does not the display resolution - I think (I wrote about it before).

    Dear Colleagues - I suggest you read the two's topic:
    first by the Korabi (thx) - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    and second - my - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    everything is thoroughly explained and examples
    Have a nice reading

    By the way - all released in 2015 and 2016 years (adapted version iGO Primo for Android of those years) data.zip files - contain the entries in the file multimode.ini - for which declarations
    [rawdisplay]
    force_renderer = "RENDER_MOYA"
    driver = "engine"
    screen_xy = "auto"

    file sys.txt sufficient!

    PS. You might want to look here - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Thanks to Catymag ( ) - we have a repository of news in one place

    regards
