Work fine for NextGen Basarsoft. What release of NextGen are you using?

    Vote for NextGen.
Use iGO_AvicSync with skins Arimi-Vami and Pongo, and iGO_Gift with default ux.

After 5000 km from Nextgen Basarsoft with Osisris4isis skin I am back to Primo 2.4 Israel with Doupas skin.
Main problem was when you want to touch a button on the screen ( buttons became very small with 5 on a row) and you missed it the screen froze.
Markers (POI) shown on screen did reset on every start. Standard Fuel and airports and I also wanted parkings.
Gets very complicated with the different UX and data.zip files for alle different Nextgen versions.
I like a clean screen with only a few buttons which open a submenu with buttons. In Nextgen I have not seen this. All buttons are on the screen and functions depend on tap or long tap. If you have not read the whole threat of the developer (Orisis4isis 52 pages) the (hidden) functions al often a surprise.
Nextgen became slow with all the UX. specially on startup

    How about now?

Now we have skins for both which was never a valid argument regarding quality of one navi.

I vote for the future and that is NEXTGEN...it can be slow but only if you are greedy. Skins are never useful for me. I like sys modifications and ux addons not skins.
DEFAULT is always the best. My opinion AVIC rules...

Only big problem that I noticed with NEXTGEN is sometimes GPS signal not stable...lose GPS and jumps or recalculate route but nothing serious.

    My vote is NEXTGEN..

I don't think sys.txt was ever created for users to messed with. It's a mechanism for developers and testers to use; but it's been "evolved" to be a users method. All user's related settings should be done via GUI inside proggy and not in sys.txt
There are things that NextGen provides that prior versions such as Primo or iGO8 doesn't

Over half a year of playing with it and I'm still finding out new things. I used to be a Primo+Dimka user. But ever since I play with Basarsoft NextGen (because it's the first fully cracked NextGen), I now prefer it. It looks clean and roomy on my 800x480 phone. I don't have any issues with GPS signal on Basarsoft NextGen and haven't used other proggy long enough to notices problem.

I have NextGen (Israel free -Android) and experienced something yesterday.
I drove +/- 600 kms (most on highways of course) and at a occasion, GPS signal was lost completely for about 10 minutes, GPS as well as Glonass.
Cursor was progressing like in tunnels driving at a constant speed. However I encountered much traffic and speed dropped, but not on screen. Disabling GPS nor power off-on was any solution. For the record, it was in open air, cloudy conditions, no visible interference.
As said, GPS reception did come back after a while. No harm done since I had a long way to go before leaving the highway, but the thought occurred: this can happen on a complex highway junction or in a major city.

My TomTom One and Magellan 2200 unit are pissed poor at GPS locked, it losses then reacquired periodically. None of my Primo nor NextGen proggy have any issues with GPS signal lost. But then android phone are way better at GPS acquisition than any dedicated Nav unit.
When a "signal lost" occurred, check the GPS Information screen immediately for the status of the satellites. I have a flaky phone that it switches between looking at GPS and GLONASS satellites which causes brief signal lost. It's the GPS receiver not proggy is at fault in this case.

Now you mention that, the GPS Status app went crazy as well , just turning the "radius scale" round left and right very fast. Numbers (Position) were changing in a flickering fast way. So you think this might be a receiver flaw? Or not? NextGen was running at the same time and possibly could influence the GPS hardware?

When proggy is using the GPS receiver, it's usually a passive (read only) function. It just get the GPS data. However some proggy does try to sent command to GPS receiver to change functions that might impact another proggy. I usually run Sygic, StreetPilot and Primo at same time with no problem. Other than that I never run Primo with any other proggy except GPSStatus* at same time. IMHO, if GPSStatus is showing "strange" results, it's definite your GPS receiver problem. What is your phone/device that causing problem?

    * This was when I has to debug strange result from GPS and GLONASS on that bad phone.
