    I am trying to do it without the skin so it plays as default no matter what skin you have

    try this in your sys.txt.....

    [sound]
    device_id=1
    csv_voice_enabled=1
    lua_voice_enabled=1
    welcome=!traffic_jam_ahead

    in the last line you can change "!traffic_jam_ahead" to whatever sound you have in your data.zip (data.zip\ui_android\audio)

    Griters,
    The welcome audio worked very well, thanks.
    Do you know the command to audio message to exit or turn off? I put bye=!traffic_jam_ahead just to test but did not work.

    Never see such a command, but more logical is to write
    sound_at_startup=!traffic_jam_ahead
    and
    sound_at_exit=...

    Boki,
    For start-up is running and the commnad is: welcome=!traffic_jam_ahead, the sound you could choose what you want.
    For exit sound I tried the followings without success: Bye, Exit, turnoff.
    I will try your suggestion.

    Welcome message exists as category, it's not so strange that there is a also sound (I didn't see any "bye" message anywhere).
    But, real startup/exit sound should have a different form.
