See video in 1.37 with UK TTS and in 3.17 with US TTS

    BTW:
    1. TTS read voice .zip file, and also read from maps only Road name or Road Numbers
    2. The word drive is inside voice .zip file, so if you have phoneme file or not, phoneme it doesn't bother the word drive- so it will never change it to drove!
    3. phoneme files can give to you better result for pronunciation, for ex. it will spel to you the name of a poi and can give to you one or more fullword pronunciation.
    3. BTW phoneme in Android works!

    Hi Zervdim

In my case I had to remove Phoneme files, because they had given me announcement problems in Basarsoft as in Israel version too. So he can try to remove Phoneme files and check if announcement is working.

I would like to thank everyone for help. I tried different builds and different TTS. Presently using build provided by Texas (ISRAEL) 9.18.27.658108 June 2016 + pongo latest skin. Happy with functionality, look and performance; willing to live with small glitches. Build has tts_nua_ve1 folder. Renamed it to test, result is the same so it appears that this folder doesn't make any difference.

Another thing that I can't really explain. If I pick Settings/Sound/TTS pro/TTS by wiman then wheel and enable Read Address it reads Drive. But in navigation mode it's always Drove.

I looked in content, phomeme was empty but I removed the folder anyway. Default phone TTS is Google (I am on Nougat) which was just updated today. Voice is US by zervdim. I uploaded logs if anyone is interested [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Both debug and logcat have: 'At end of the road, turn left, onto New Westminster Drove .

    This is from debug.log ["TTS"] = { ["voice_revision"] = L"", ["tts_langcode"] = L"ENU", ["key"] = "TTS-Pro-Android-Next-Koba-American-zervdim-v.9.361.Ph", ["voice_brand"] = L"zervdim", ["version"] = L"unified", ["time_stamp"] = L"31/8/2010 15:01:37", ["voice_name"] = L"Nuance English(US) - NextGen TTSPro zervdim v.9.361.Ph", ["person_name"] = L"NextGen TTSPro zervdim v.9.361.Ph", },

Unless you installed the library for ve1, it's data folder, tts_nua_ve1 should NOT be used. Your log show exactly what I've already said

Thanks. I agree that incorrect translation comes from voice file. I tried the suggestion. Here is the result:

Vocalizer TTS installs OK and I am able to set up as default TTS. I removed all voices and just left one from Vocalizer distribution. IGO failed to boot. Reinstalled and rebooted same result. Added Zervdim voice (one that had Drove) and IGO booted but only allowed to pick Zervdim voice.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Just to clarify, second voice not detected by IGO, first and last -are

What that means is that the 2nd voice file is not compatible with your proggy + voice library. This is a different result from what you previous stated when I asked you to installed my package (post #28) And to be clear, it's VocalizerEx not VocalizerTTS (they are two different things) If you installed any other voice library via *.apk, you have to uninstalled it and only installed VocalizerEx. Otherwise proggy will gets confused and uses wrong library.

I installed Vocalizer Ex (copied folder to root of internal storage and installed apk) and enabled as default in Settings. No issues there. The fact that IGO doesn't recognize voice #2 that was in this distribution is something else. I copied some other TTS (#1) just to see if setup recognize it and it did. So the result is that #2 is not recognized and if it's the only voice in folder then IGO doesn't even start. My guess it's setup issue of some sort but I don't know which one.

There is no reason why the voice data file for it wouldn't work with the VocalizerEx library (it was made for it!) However, it's possible that your proggy doesn't support VocalizerEx. What is proggy and full version that you're using?

Update: I saw in your snap, that your directory is iGO_Gift. which if I'm wrong comes with ve1 (so I would assume you're using that), is that right?

Yes you are correct. It's IGO Israel and comes with ve1.

Ok, let see if we can get it working for ve1; post the two voice*.zip files that didn't crash your proggy and I'll look at it.
