Have 5 Apk iGO on his Smartphone for Newbies

When I saw this screenshot on the forum I wanted to have the same. Now it is done with the help of Modemakias, Djeman, Wojpen, Sylpa27 ... that I thank and a little reading from me. So I share

Difficulty: I could not install the 2nd iGO NextGen on my Smartphone: Application Not installed. This is due to the fact that it does not have the same signature with those already installed.
So if I manage to have the Apk signed by the same author and by the same signature my problem is solved.

Requirements:
JDK to choose according to your operating system

7-Zip to open Apk
A Software for sign
Apk to sign

The signature of an Apk is in the directory META-INF if you open the archive with 7-Zip (Do not extract) you can delete this file and close 7-Zip.

I chose it because it is very easy to use but it only allows a generic signature on the fly.

I chose it because it allows to make a custom signature (by creating its own key) without going through the prompt DOS which is difficult to use for beginners (must be in administrator mode, know manage orders ...). Just you need to indicate the path C \ Program files \ Java \ JDK1.8.0_151 \ Bin
At the end of optimization it also allows to Align the Apk. On the link there is a very accessible tutorial.

The other possibilities of Signature are very numerous, the one that is probably the most used by the Masters is by the prompt DOS ticket that uses JDK (Java) directly . I would do if you want another tutorial for this method.

Finally I put you online my five iGO_Apk (they are those of Modemakias resigned): The Primo to install on the Sdcard int and all NextGen on the Sdcard ext (My config: JB 4.2.2).

For Apk_Mod_Sd_ext if you want to make your own kitchen you have the choice between those prepare on our forum by my friends: Modemakias or Miochacha.

Important: Before installation do a clean uninstall the method:

But - please explain - why?
You wrote in the title that it's for "Newbies" ...
My question is controversial - specially !!!
For - why put on so many different versions?
I understand Primo + Nextgen (which supports Full Truck) + possibly Basarsoft - but the rest ???
Navigation works and so in just one version at a time - so why?

Thanks the interaction and to answer you:

For "Newbies" because these two methods of signatures and especially that of Djeman are child's play that requires a single click.
The majority of developers sign up with prompt DOS much harder for a Newbies.

"Why do we have so many different versions?"
Several explanations: I want to test all the news, I have difficulties in making Skin Changer work this bug often, But I think especially my compulsive side (not in purchase but in computer).

In the end I think I'll calm down and keep one or two.

Wojpen you will always be My Master and me the Student.

- but IMO - Master is always only ONE - for me it is .... Catymag.

hi,
is there is any way to change the default folder name from igo or igo_nextgen to diffident folder name , fro example i want the default folder name is ss.
android 4.4.4 or android 7.0

can you please help us and explain the way.(i have some folders " igo - igo_nextgen - igo_basarsoft - igo_world - igo_gift - igo_primo" )

Yes, there is.

Officially, you have to open apk file as zip (I recommend Total Commander).
Then in folder /res/raw find sys.txt file
Long press on it and choose Unpack +Edit and choose Totalcmd-Editor.

Then you find line [folders] where you will set your preferred data folder name.

Then you save sys.txt, and confirm repack in apk.

Then you just have to re-sign apk, so it can be installed.

All of that you can just do within APK Editor, both edit of sys.txt and repack and sign.

Same change you will have to make in sys.txt which is in your data folder.

Hello WOB.
I tried to follow exactly same steps mentioned by you to change the installation directory(data folder directory) for iGO (iGO Primo-ANS India version).
I am trying to change the default data folder name from default name "iGO" to some other name like iGO_Ans. But no luck.
After installing modified APK, it still hunts for "iGO", instead of "iGO_Ans"

Can anyone help please?

The iGO that you try to install is the only one or you have other on your device.

How did you know that he keeps looking for the iGO folder when you try to install your new version. and what you have on the screen at the end of installation.

If you already have another iGO install you have to do another manipulation: Change the Package Name of your new version.

Please specify this data

1. I have only this version of iGO [ANS India]on my device (with data folder name iGO, package name: com.nng.primoansnonav). I am using the version from here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
It works fine in default data folder "iGO"

2. I wish to install classic old iGO Primo (package name: com.navngo.igo.javaclient) on the same device, which also need to be installed in default data folder "iGO".

3. So, so avoid conflict of same data folder, i need to change default data folder "iGO" of ANS version to some other folder like "iGO_Ans". To achieve it, I followed steps mentioned by WOB in his post as mentioned above. I changed the data folder name in APK's sys.txt using total commander and then signed the APK and installed it. When I run iGO ANS, it shows error "Insert iGO data card". But when I change the data folder directory on device back to "iGO", it works. I need to work it in directory "iGO_Ans"

4. You mentioned, "Change the Package Name of your new version" , but I dont know where and how to change that. Help is appreciated here from Masters of this forum. My requirement is to install both iGO in different data folders.

unfortunately you can not change the folder from primo versions...
personally i have not find a solution, if i change the folder from the code, when loading looking again for "iGO" folder...

changing the package name has nothing to do ... because already has a different package name...
thats you need is re-sign both apks with a same signature...
but after that new problem thats created is do you have two apps with a same base_folder...
i dont know if can register the folder by sys or installation one internal and the other external with a specific "linked_root_list" path...
