Question best IGO version for 2011 car head unit

    Hello,

i have Caska 3642 in my car. I tried Igo Primo 9.6.2 but it works slowly and sometimes out of memory message appears.
Please advise, what version of IGO would be best for that device?

    Casca is not slow device.
If you encounter such mistakes (and with such a version as it is 9.6.2), most likely you have bad set up, overdue, puted inadequate content, or downloaded files are bad.
Read more threads about Primo and map content, read tutorials and more forum posts in general. There's a lot of learning materials here.

Hello. I also have a Caska device. Mine has 256MB of RAM and ROM. And I use 9.6.13.267029. The primo has slowness in its nature I think. But I don't have any out of memory error so far. As Boki said, check your iGO folder throughly. Get rid of DEM files, decrease ux usage, limit voice, lang map and licence files. Get an emulator and test your iGO in emulator first, if it Works in emulator it will probably work in the unit too. For example my iGO uses ~70MB in emulator with a total of 275MB of map&poi data.

    70MB is too large
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is no more then ~44MB. You can also remove unnecessary dll's.
Add global.cfg (+ 8MB), replace lang&voice, add only needed content, package works with standard DEM (~90MB) and even with premium (~270MB) absolutely no problem.

About "best version", read [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
There are plenty of materials on the forum, it just needs to be used "search".
Basically everything is covered in this post:

Aha, you are right Boki the total is 70MB, minus 10MB for Wince, roughly 60MB for iGO, but this is the max I've seen. Sometimes it drops to around 30MB, it depends the state of the program as I can see.
