    They seem to be signature files specific for Mazda JCI software.
    I think they are useless for Primo or Nextgen

    I tried with iGO Primo Android 9.6.29.601732 :

    FBL, HNR, DEM : active

    POI : inactive

    But when I chose country "Japan", impossible to chose the city.

    I managed to make a simulation by choosing on the map the starting point and the destination.

    Spoiler: Screenshots

    On the bottom right picture, characters are strange. So like boyzth said, Japanese fonts are missing.

    Thank you so much Catymag for the rare Japan map.

    The included Japan language zip still left lots of English untranslated, which is OK for US/English users.

    Although I love iGO, however, the fierce competition in Japan is unmatched like the rest of the world, especially with the highly detailed map data and VR-like UI from Sony, Panasonic + Zenrin.

    In order to display Chinese/Japanese characters in Android, here is what you can do:

    Go to
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    , download Noto Sans CJK TC font, extract and copy the following 3 Chinese fonts to iGO/ui_nextgen/fonts. If your iGO Nexgen is installed in iGO_Gift, iGO_Basar instead of iGO, just replace the folder name.

    ui_nextgen\fonts\NotoSansCJKtc-Light.otf
    ui_nextgen\fonts\NotoSansCJKtc-Medium.otf
    ui_nextgen\fonts\NotoSansCJKtc-Thin.otf

    Edit sys.txt

    [fonts]
    default="Noto Sans CJK TC, Light"
    defaultbd="Noto Sans CJK TC, Medium"
    defaultit="Noto Sans CJK TC, Thin"

    * The same trick can be used to replace default, defaultbd, and defaultit fonts with Unicode Arial font for displaying Eastern Europe characters. The default font used in iGO Nextgen (Avic, Basar, Gift) is not suitable to use in those countries.
