I've been using TomTom for quite a while now, TomTom has always maintained a certain amount of quality in their products

    Hi,
I have been trialing both Here 2015Q4 and TomTom 2015-06 with Primo 2.4
Living in a country town I find the TomTom better for speed limits (works 99% of everywhere I have been)
The Here maps speed limits only work in the CBD outside of a 50k zone I can't get any speed limits.
Unless I am doing something wrong.
If I am please let me know.
Is there a later version of TomTom than 2015-06?

    Keep up the great work

    Peter

Sorry for not knowing where "Mid North Coast" is, therefor I can not give a correct answer.
Depending on the location, TT 2015.09 or 2015.12 may be released - or not.
Take a look here : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Speed limits are included in the map data, so when HERE shows no or wrong limits and TT does show the right limit, it depends on the map itself, not on your settings. Besides, program settings are unchanged by you whatever the map, not?

    Hi.
    Thanks for the response.
    Mid North Coast NSW Aus.
I understand the problem is with the map. This forum seems to be the only place I can find it. I can wait for another version and stick with TT for now.
    Thanks again

Greece. I agree with the things already said, but need to add a minor(?) aspect: accents. I say minor because it's only an issue if you use TTS.

In HERE maps street names don't have accents (all greek words have). This means you need to add thousands of lines to a transform table in greek TTS file just to hear them spelled out correctly. So you settle correcting the major and most important of them. (Until recently Navteq wouldn't even make a relatively easy change of changing the last s of street names to a correct one)
On Tom Tom maps there is no such problem, names are correctly accented and TTS pronounces everything right.

For Romania my choice is TT maps.
Compare to HERE, TT is more accurate, knows more streets, house numbers, more details of pretty much everything.
I am a truck driver and I also use TT in all my trips in Europe. It were indeed a few times when TT disapointed me, but nothing serious

I think TT maps in The Netherlands ar more Precise with housenumbers. But HERE maps did the trick also.
Not really a winner i think.
