Hi , so I have my Samsung device P7500 (Tab 10.1) , I had a 4.0.4 rom before , I tried to install the here map application , but it steel craching every time I try to open it , I had installed a KitKat 4.4.4 android version , I tried to install the app again , but it steel craching every time too, i have tried many version , the first and the last ..it's the same.
I emailed the support, they told me that the problem is the screen resolution from my device as the app is only compatible with sreens, that have between 4.5" to 6".

    Hi genjuro,
I have a Samsung GT-N8013 (Note 10.1) running stock Android 4.1.2 and Here Maps runs without any problems on it, either running from internal memory or external SD therefore what support told you about screen resolution doesn´t make sense.

Here Maps needs Android 4.1 or higher (look at requirements on G-playstore), so Android 4.0.4 could/would never work.
On the other hand Android 4.4.4 (Kitkat) is known for problems with permissions for accessing the SD-card.

I'd recommend a full uninstall (clear cache & data for HERE) and remove everything from HERE both on internal & external SD.
Open HERE-MAPS with android App Mgr : clear cache/data, reset app and uninstall

Be sure to check internal & external SD for :
    .here-maps (hidden folder in root)
/android/data/com.here.apps.maps/* (delete the folder /com.here.apps.maps/* and all subfolders)

    Reboot phone

After this reinstall HERE MAPS on internal SD to be sure that Kitkat isn't ruining the permissions.

Give it a go and report back !
