The GLONASS constellation has suffered a significant drawback for the second time this month.

On Monday, April 14, eight GLONASS satellites were at the same time set unhealthy for an hour, which means that the majority GLONASS or multi-constellation receivers would have neglected those satellites in positioning computations. Additionally, one different satellite within the fleet was out for undergoing maintenance. This might need left too few healthy satellites to cypher GLONASS-only receiver positions in some locations.
The unhealthy status of the satellites was reported by the Roscosmos GLONASS Information-Analytical Centre website. and published by The Moscow Times, an English-language daily published in Russia.
