The free preloaded HERE version isn't too shabby really. It announces street names and routing seems ok going by the little i've used it.

CoPilot is pretty good, but after 7 days if you want to keep the premium features like Traffic, JCV and TTS then .... bein' as y'all lives in Iowa, ya user nick is Texas with an Android gif avatar an' ya has a Windows Phone [jeez, only in America folks!] then you need to fork over only 8 bucks. That's a pittance compared to the plebs in EU who get stung 40 smackers .... oh well, that's fair isn't it?

Good luck with a cracked version, the developer is a bit of a hacker himself i think. So, i'll be locked down nice 'n' tight i reckon.

Yeh, figured that it wasn't actually for you Tex, i've seen your excellent posts in iGO. Just messing with you, couldn't help myself ... you know, incongruousness of Texas and Iowa/Windows and Android .. and now i'm boring myself dammit! Anyway you could really be a female uni student from Lahore for all we know ...

But y'know, Windows Phone 8.1 ain't that bad, including the basic HERE nav. They might even get things much better with WP10 if the PC OS 8.1>10 experience is any indication. I rarely use phone-based app for series navigation anyway, mostly dedicated Garmin PNAs. Good luck with Co Pilot for your friend mate.
