I get the following errors when trying to search '765' under Garmin forum.
Warning: Declaration of vBForum_Item_SocialGroupMessage::getLoadQuery() should be compatible with that of vB_Model::getLoadQuery() in ..../packages/vbforum/item/socialgroupmessage.php on line 261
Warning: Declaration of vBForum_Item_SocialGroupDiscussion::getLoadQuery() should be compatible with that of vB_Model::getLoadQuery() in ..../packages/vbforum/item/socialgroupdiscussion.php on line 337
That's a very broad search term regardless. VB's internal forum search is not something i've relied on for years because of the nil results problem in such 'non-specific' searches and the irrelevant results otherwise. I believe this to be a VB problem, not a forum one. My preference is to use google in this way: gpspower.net: 765
Result:More targeted results can be got by including other info, for instance: gpspower.net: nuvi 765 software problemCode:Please Login or Register to see the links
However if you enter 'nuvi 765 software problem' into the internal forum search box, goodness only knows what you'll get. Probably anything but what you want, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].Code:Please Login or Register to see the links

In VBulletin forums the default minimum characters word search is set to 4.
Not sure a three characters word can be searched by tags too.
You have to navigate to get to the good.

@catymag, good to know that limit is 4 chars.
@neil, almost what i was looking for...i need to know the latest (working) firmware for nuvi 765. i remember seeing a thread on it but don't remember how to find it.
Sure, but it'll cost you 5 bucks! Tip large for me the next time you're at Maccas or Starbucks
V4.50 is latest. To find it, start here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] > [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] > [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] > [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
Or just click the last link and go to the Garmin link there, it'll be faster. You can also get it from Perry site:

Thanks Neil, now this version isn't going to turn my 765 to HAL-9000 right?
So when I tried to download Garmin Express, it said "Garmin Express is not compatible with your operating system. You must upgrade your OS to use Garmin Express, or you can use legacy software called Map Updater to update maps on automotive devices." Someone in forum said to use "Web Updater", is it the same as "Map Updater?"

Mate it'd be much much more than 5 smackers in the tip jar if it could. I've got it running on an NA 765 and an AU 765 and they behave themselves in a very un-HAL-like way. Trust me, would i lie to you? Although, as i am about 10,000 miles away i could tell you pretty-much any BS i want. How ya gonna find me if y'all couldn't find the fw?
