Searchable POIs - you may find through usual search and it is global search!
None searchable POIs - you may find only by search through nearest and it is limited by distance!

But sense was in other! No address search is available in Topo but only POI is searchable!

I meant classic TOPO without address search. Russian Topo map also always have a address search for both version - old non-NT and new NT...

Still not clear does NT Unicode only shows labels in language native to each country? Is there is option to switch to labels in English?

Unicode is only for Garmin units which 'understand' unicode and will allow the use of keyboards for Cyrillic-type languages, eg. Russian, Greek. You can of course also use a Latin [English] keyboard for them.

It has both latin and native characters.
If you change the text language to english, then the streets and cities appear with english (latin) characters and not the native.
Then you must use a latin keyboard (not the native) for search.

It will work up to a point, but you'll have address search problems. Better to use the 'non-unicode' version. Latest is [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. EU 2014.30 has been skipped [only 2 a years for non-U EU now] so EU 2014.40 shouldn't be too far away if you want to wait a while.

About address search in NT versus NTU maps: might it be that NTU maps have less searchable addresses than NT maps?

I did install CN Europe NT 2015.2 and CN Europe NTU 2015.4 to Mapsource on my pc. When searching for the street "Martony-Gasse" in Austria I do find it in the older NT 2015.2 but not in the newer NTU 2015.4. Nevertheless in NTU 2015.4 this "Martony-Gasse" is displayed on the map!

I am curious what will be about "Martony-Gasse" in NT 2015.4..
