    @xtrbiker71
    A bit OT, but seeing it's your first post. Here you go:

    You can simulate a route. It is probably the same or very similar in your 3590, this is how it's done in 1xxx series:

    (Driving) - From Main Screen ('Where to?/View Map'), press Tools>Settings>System>GPS Simulator>Off>OK>Press & hold Return Arrow to go back to Main Screen; Press 'Where To?' and make a selection; Press 'Set Location'; Press Return; Make another selection; Press 'Go'> Press 'Yes' and the route will simulate.

    *(Pedestrian) - From Main Screen ('Where to?/View Map'), press Tools>Settings>System>GPS Simulator>Off>OK>Usage Mode>Pedestrian(should show 'Powered by cityXplorer' under 'Pedestrian' if you have cityXplorer map installed right)>OK>Press & hold Return Arrow to go back to Main Screen; Press 'Where To?' and make a selection; Press 'Set Location'; Press Return; Make another selection; Press 'Go'>OK>Last Position>Select>Press on your preferred Route Option> Press Start, then arrow thru to see the route directions.
    *Or you could just read catymag's [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] which i forgot was there....:Animated40::Animated43::Animated92:

    PID is an abbreviation of 'Product Identification' and FID is for 'Family Identification', also MID for 'Map...' ...you get the idea. When you select 'Custom Mapset' on Jetmouse and enable additional fields you fill FID/MID and PID etc before generating the unlock code. Read again Post #1 with care. Have a look here also: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

    You can usually find the FID etc in the first post of any map thread. btw if you are using images from here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] all you need for JM is FID 800, rest are zeros.

    To find yourself for most map images, use GMapTool. Any version will give you that info, but this is the latest: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Just drag the *.img to the files panel, or use the 'Add Files' button and browse for the image file. Press 'Info' (or 'Details') and it will show you the PID, FID etc. With JM, you often don't need to fill in Region ID & Vendor ID or even PID. Actually VenID is really a 'sub-region id' but that's another story.

    Well, i suppose there's a typo there, and either you've got a nuvi 40 or a nuvi 1400 of some sort. If you've got a Fishfinder 140 you're out of luck though .

    The CX's either small or full together with the *.unl file, go in a folder named Map, either in the root of the unit or preferably in the sd card. ie, Path is x:\Map. The CX image and it's unlock file must have same name, just different ext. eg, cxna_2012.30.img and cxna_2012.30.unl.

    All maps can be found in the Index: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. All NA CX's are here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. I see a few CXs for CA listed: Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego.....
    EDIT: New version 2013.10 now available: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
