    @djmarcellorc
    In your 255W, only gmapsup1.img will work in the SD as the second image, i.e. x:/Garmin/gmapsup1.img. If it doesn't work then update the fw. You can only have two image names in your SD card with that unit, gmapsupp & gmapsup1 not gmapsup2. If you need more maps, you can use MapSource versions and combine them with MS up to the 4GiB FAT32 file size-limit provided that you also don't exceed the total number of both map tile and individual map limits. That way you can (in theory and subject to the other 2 limitations) have up to 8GiB of map data as 2 X 4GiB image files in the SD.

    Using unlock codes is going to run you into trouble with FID/MID of 2200 or above. Read [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and just use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to unlock such maps.

    Very easy. Just run WebUpdater:
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    This is the latest fw for your 255W:
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    You can also update the fw from an sd:
    1. Rename nuvi2x5W_GCDFile__760.gcd to gupdate.gcd and then put it in a Garmin folder in an otherwise empty sd.
    2. Remove any previous gupdate.gcd from your device.
    4. Remove from charge if charging, and turn off device.
    4. Insert SD.
    5. Restart your device and allow it to update normally.

    OK, glad you are sorted with the 2 maps in SD.

    The fw stuff is quite OT here, so sorry for making further comment, but I actually prefer not to use MyDashboard or even WebUpdater if you have any unofficial maps loaded. I know it is easier to use them, but i'm pretty sure that the Garmin server can browse your Device.... so, i prefer to use the sd fw update method for gupdate.gcd, or there are other 'manual' ways including using updater.exe to load the fw as an rgn file, etc. none of which involve the garmin server.
