Wow! Nice unit...slightly jealous at first but now understand that anyone handy with money can buy one.
If the generic garmin way of entering the diagnostics page (i.e. press the top RH corner as you look at the unit for about 6 secs, then next>next until you see the Data Card Test Page showing the Serial # of the card) doesn't work, and it probably wont, try the methods for other chartplotters shown in this thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Otherwise find a friend with a nuvi and stick your card in that and use the generic way.

CID doesn't have to be 10 digits. I have SD's & micro SD's with 8, 9 and 10 digit CIDs. Kanopus is always right in my experience so i haven't even checked it in hex, just use the 8 digit 12422887 and i bet it will work.

You can use your GPS, the method is covered extensively in this thread which you should read through. The method depends on the unit. The generic Garmin way is by entering the diagnostics page by pressing the top RH corner as you look at the unit for about 6 secs, then next>next until you see the Data Card Test Page showing the Serial # of the card. Serial # is the CID. Other methods are here:

'Partition id' is also known as the 'Volume Serial No' which changes on reformatting. It's not the CID which never changes.

As stated before, i found an android app named "sd tools" where you can plug your microsd card in an android phone and gives the serial in hex format. you can then convert it to decimal to use it in the jetmouse but i havent tested it yet. if somebody has a garmin device and an android phone can confirm that by comparing the decimal number the test page of the garmin device gives with the one the "sd tools" app gives after converted to decimal

Oh, i see now. If you're bumping because you haven't had an answer to a previous post, it's best to either quote it or maybe [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. I've told you the 'simplest way' to find the CID for a garmin owner, you're posting in the garmin forum so if you don't have a garmin device you might be better trying in the android forum. You might get lucky here though, a lot of people have both.

Confirmed! using a nuvi 30... The s/n the garmin gives in decimal is what sd tools gives in hex

Im looking for software to tell me what my SD CARD ID is and i can see that im not alone here regarding this quest but reading this thread i just go around and around in circles.

i just want to use jetmouse to unlock a map to a card rather than using the unit id surly someone must know of a piece of software to get the (sd card id) by now.
