It's also technically possible. zumo 390 has two possible PCB PNs of 105-01973-00 and 105-1973-01. Both are also in 395's firmware. Follow the tut in Post #4 of the 590>595 thread substituting the firmwares and relevant HWIDs of course. If you're not sure what to do then ask and i'll post tailored instructions specific to 390>395. All at your own risk of course.

You seem to have made the hybrid firmware in RGN_Tool correctly. Did you then make an RGN named 147301000321.rgn and drag it onto Updater.exe before putting the zumo into preboot?

Ok, then maybe the firmware is too big for the original 390 boot.bin to handle. Two possible things to try:
    1. Flash it to FULL 395 firmware as OUT.rgn [definitely NOT recommended unless you're prepared to risk maybe bricking it forever]; or
    2. Compress the 395 firmware files [fw1_resources.bin and fw_all.bin] using [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and see if that works using the 390 boot.bin [it does for flashing 34x0 fw to 37x0].

Again, you know the drill by now, it's all at your own risk.

    Move to Plan 'B' then:
    1. Flash full 395 fw [[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]]; or
    2. Post in the gfwpack thread and ask our guru kunix to add support.

PS: No need to pack the 390 boot.bin.

Zumo_3x5 uses GIR located in region 0x7F, so fw_all.bin is quite small (~22 MB).
While Zumo_3x0 has GIR embedded in fw_all.bin, which makes it quite large (~42 MB).

You can flash Zumo_3x5 fw_all.bin to Zumo_3x0, there is enough space, but you're trying to flash region 0x7F as well.
Most probably, Zumo_3x0 doesn't have this region, as GIR is embedded inside fw_all.bin. Try flashing only boot.bin and 0x7F to confirm that.

If that's true, even if you run Zumo_3x5 fw_all.bin on Zumo_3x0, fw_all.bin will not be able to load GIR from region 0x7F and will not function correctly.

Also gfwpack can't compress firmwares with GIR embedded for reasons which I can't overcome. And actually you don't need it here at all.

adbok, here is another thing you can do:
You can flash your Zumo_3x0 with Zumo_3x5 firmware including Zumo_3x5 boot.bin.
Zumo_3x5 boot.bin will have the right flash region layout hardcoded inside it, so it will flash GIR and fw_all.bin regions correctly.
But, I don't advise doing this, as you could brick your device if Zumo_3x5 bootloader or x-loader doesn't execute on Zumo_3x0.
Also there could be strange things after. You're essentially changing the region layout this way.
Some regions could become corrupt. And you will not know where's the problem.
