Who is going to play with a G. device firmware should understand what he is going to do:

    1) Have a NV backup (the most important thing) because something may go wrong playing with firmware, it can happen: tested many times and I'm not a newbie in these stuffs and you mostly will be able to restore your device at once.
    2) Understand preboot mode and how Updater.exe is working. Check your device HWID software and take the right one. With Updater.exe be patient and try untill you succeed, it's a bit tricky, but nothing so hard to give up.
Updater.exe is used to restore a device with cure, especially if you dont have NV backup, so learn how to use it: we heard about too many units bricked by Express or/and by a weak internet connection updating maps or other stuffs. Philipych wont save you in these cases
    4) Inform yourself on forum, there are many threads and tutorials to understand how G. stuffs work.
    3) Read with care instructions given in starting post.
    4) If you dont know what you are doing, or if you don't have time to read&learn, please buy maps and stay with official G. firmware.
    5) The patcher has been tested working in many G.devices and loaded .rgn files loaded by Updater.exe too.
    6) Warning - Improper use of this software can damage your device: You are responsible for all consequences of an improper use of this patcher, use it at your own risk.

You can make hard reset, back up your data first, so you can then restore them.

It's not possible to install same FW version 3.10 on Epix.
With the adjust function of the patcher I can only set to 4.10 (+1.00)

I think than there are problems with the next regular realease because you loose all settings when doing a downgrade.

Better would be to update the adjust funktion to set any FW version - for example here between 3.11 - 3.19
So there are no problems with further versions which could be 3.20

Works fine with Edge 1000 (update from 5.10 to patched 5.20) All maps are working now without codepage trick. CN NTU + new Topo's

AFAIK, this option works in a different way: instead of setting a specific version, it offsets the current one.
For example: If you have firmware version 3.10, adjusting it by 1 results in 3.11, adjusting by 100 results in 4.10 etc.

    @Cnfhbr
Yes, you are right. I set it now to +3. My mistake was that I thought the FW update starts automatically after Epix booting.
But I must start it manually in the settings - FW update menue. Seems Epix is not the same than other devices.

But check HWID in garmindevice.xml in your nuvi Garmin folder.....and read again my post n.85
