    Exclamation attention! nuvi 57/58 & 67/68

patcher does not work on devices nuvi 57/58 & 67/68 (hwid 2087, 2088)
after installation in the device of the unblocked map there is a cyclic reboot of the device.
the device continues to work normally only with the preset map.
be careful with installation of a map in an device!

    tested on a nuvi 57,67, thanks @KIVSPB.

Hello friends. I need help. March of this year I updated a garmin Nuvi 2598LMT. Everything went without a problem. I used a clean pendrive, opened a garmin folder and placed a GaminDevice.xml. Used the Garmin Express and download all the new files. Placed these files in theirs respective folder in the Nuvi memory including a patched Gupdate.GCD. There was no need to use the UPdater.exe because I had used the first time and the instructions I got from this site, at that time, was that the need to use the UPdater.exe was only the first time.
It is obvious the this time I have made something wrong because this time the gps does not decode the new map. If I replace the new map with the older version, there is no problem.
Any idea what I could do to make the gps decode the new map?

Do you get any error message at nuvi start? Is the new map unlocked? How?

    @yanzei
A gupdate.gcd file is not always in the device's .System folder, but if it is there it MUST be removed before flashing the patched firmware or it may re-flash back to original. You can get the GCD file for V3.20 here:

There is no error message. The only message that shows up says that "maps were not unlocked" just as the booting is completing.
The new map was downloaded from Garmin through Garmin Express. So I believe this map must be locked.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

If the map is regular nuvi must see it, copy .gma and .unl in nuvi. Backup and delete old files from nuvi.

    sent with my phone

Where would I get the .gma and .unl files from?

I have found these files in the nuvi: 801378579.gma, gmapprom.gma and gmapprom.unl.

    Thanks.

Copy the gmapprom.gma and gmapprom.unl files to a safe place on your computer or external storage before removing them from your nüvi. They may conflict with the new (unlocked) map you're going to use.
