I flashed the device with the card. I talked about the problem with updater.exe. And do not give instructions on how to do firmware kit for the memory card?

Sorry. By 'And do not give instructions on how to do firmware kit for the memory card?' you mean that you want instructions on how to MAKE such files for a card kit of course. It's just a matter of saving all the individual firmware components of the patched GCD file as BIN files. I then changed the names from the default to the relevant region number. For instance, fw_all.bin shown as "RGN region 0E" in RGN_Tool so it gets named 14.bin [hex 0E = dec 14]. It could just be left as fw_all.bin but my text command is "xrgn,14,2:/14.bin" 'cos i think it's easier to keep the BIN file names the same as their corresponding decimal regions. If the name was unchanged from RGN_Tool's default, the command would need to be: "xrgn,14,2:/fw_all.bin" instead. However boot.bin MUST be renamed to Ldr.bin. Read the following thread for more details and post there if you have further questions: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. It will be more On Topic in that thread if you need more details [but only post after you've read and understood it].

If you or any other reader intends to make your own SD flash packs, i must caution that you be very careful to use the correct firmware and particularly the correct boot.bin renamed as Ldr.bin, because getting any of that wrong may permanently brick your device. If you don't fully understand the SD programs thread, don't attempt it. Read this too: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

On a new "out of the box" device you may not find this file. Once the device has had an update, there will be a GUPDATE.GCD file. Make sure you checked in hidden folders.

In some devices the gcd is deleted automatically.

Especially it is true for all Garmin outdoor handhelds.
