    1- Download IMGPatcher_v23-5-5-2016
    2- Download RN_Tool
3- Download Garmin Update for my gps
4- pass the update in IMGPacher
5- convert the patch Update in RGN_Tool
6- remove any old gupdate.gcd in my GPSMAP 64s
7- update my GPSMAP 64s with the patch Update with Garmin Updater.exe v.2.8.0
    is it that or not????
    Is your device 'GVS' yes?

KIVSPB, what I would do is:
    1. backup everything in your device
    1. modify the .gcd (HWID:2267)
    2. patch the modified .gcd
    3. open it with RGN_tool and save it as 226701000310.rgn with the unknown.bin unchecked
    4. flash the device
If everything goes OK and the device starts, preform a clear Nonvol (look at post#1, step 9)
    5. Reflash your device with the modified and patched .gcd from step 2.
I can't think of anything else, all .gcd's for Drive 40, from 2.20 up to 3.10, have this unknown.bin
It is your decision to make thinking of the risk...

    Hi,

Is it possible to give a device the same patched firmware version than the original one inside device or do we have to downgrade firmware version first before upgrading with patched firmware (as we do with patch for .jnx files) ?

    Hello,

I have a nuvi 2548 lmt with ce maps, and I want full europe maps. I have download Garmin City Navigator Europe NTU 2017_10 with gmapprom.img file.
I put the file on the sd card, now it says can't unlock maps. What must I do to make it works? Thank everyone for helping !

@kaarsenbril First of all, welcome to GPS Power.
Secondly, did you patch the firmware of your nüvi 2548LMT as described in post #1 of this thread?
    Follow all steps accurately!

It is very dificult for me, I am afraid to blow up my new nuvi2548

    I have a few questions:

I think I have found the HWID
    garmindevice.xml shows 006-B2077-00
G7towin shows in prebootmode nuvi 25x9 softwareversion 8.30 ID: 2077

So my question ; What must I do with that HWID ?

Is this the right firmware I must work with ?

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
It is confusing for my because there is nuvi 25x9 software version 8.30 although it is a nuvi2548

it gives a file named B1758000P.GCD

    I can't find the number 2077 here:

If your device HWID is 2077 you can use this Neil's pack from this post:
