Standby and i'll make a kit for both nuvi 25x9 HWIDs and attach here in the next few hours.
I've made the SD kit to suit both HWIDs with version numbers increased to 8.21. The unit will flash only the files from the folder matching it's HWID. Suitable for HWID 1947 or 1758 ONLY. Look behind the spoiler for the RAR file and instructions:
    Spoiler:
Read the instructions below fully before starting.
    • Download the RAR pack and extract it directly onto a clean microSD, even a small 1GB card will suffice, but make sure there are no other files on it. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    • Ensure that your 2569 is fully OFF, not just in standby, insert the card and turn it on. Loader message will appear on the screen and then it will reboot.
    • Don't disturb the unit or turn it off while the flash is in progress, so beforehand make sure the battery has plenty of power or connect it to a power source.
    • When it's finished you'll know by it's rebooting. Remove the card and look in Garmin\Updater\xxxx for a newly created file 'update.log' [where 'xxxx' is your HWID]. Open it in NotePad or WordPad and check it's content. It should read:

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
In the folder Backup you should have 41_BKP.bin. Keep it permanently in a safe place as it can restore your nuvi if region 41 becomes corrupt. If it doesn't have the proper info in region 41 it will be in region 154, if so change the command to read 154 where 41 is in both places. If 'Error' appears where 'Success' should be, or 'Error - update halted' is present then post and advise.

EDIT: Reading this [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], it seems nonvol info is indeed held in 154 not 41 for that series, so before you start change the second line in Update.txt for your hwid to read this: rrgn,154,2:/Backup/154_BKP.bin [look for it in Garmin\Updater\xxxx\Update.txt]

You must run Updater.exe with only that name or it will fail. You've renamed it 'Updater(1).exe'. Fix up the naming and try again. Or just flash it with the SD pack i attached for you in Post #251 (only for the 25x9 devices HWID 1947 or 1758 ONLY), no need for preboot or Updater.exe at all then.

It's always safest to use the 'fool-proof' naming for the RGN file too. Any naming other than the correct firmware HWID [4 numerals] followed by 01000 and the software version [3 numerals], (i.e. <hwid>01000<swv>.rgn) will force the flash and if you've used the wrong firmware to make the file it may hard-brick the device. That includes the default naming of GUPDATE_Patched.rgn which you've used. In your case it should be named 175801000820.rgn [if you're using fw version 8.20] so best change it to be sure if you're going to use preboot again to flash. Ensure you have '01000' in the middle of HWID and SWV numerals too, leaving one middle numeral out [e.g. 0100 or 1000, instead of 01000] will also force the flash. Also you must backup region 154 beforehand for safety and hard-reset the device or clear nonvol before and after flashing too. Provided you use the proper RGN naming matched with the correct HWID of the FIRMWARE you've used to make the RGN file, Updater.exe will refuse to flash if it detects a HWID mis-match and will give 'No updates available for your device' message. So cross-check and double-check the HWID of the firmware you're using in RGN_Tool's GUI against the unit's actual HWID from GarminDevice.xml file or in the unit's hidden menu 'Inventory' page. See [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. This is particularly important with such units as 2xx9 and 2xx7/8 which have two different firmwares for the same model series, C4 version and 'normal' version, so they are easy to mix up.

Read my previous post carefully. Then either: (i) Fix the naming on your other RGN file from 'GUPDATE_Patched.rgn' to '175801000820.rgn' and flash in preboot; or (ii) Press "RGN" button on RGN_Tool when in the screen shown in your post above to save the GCD file as 175801000820.rgn and then flash in preboot; or (iii) [preferable] just use the SD pack i made for you.

Did you find any problems with the device later?

    Thank you.
Yes, patching with FW Patcher v1.1 under Win 7 x64 works at once.
With first Version 1.0 look here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Garmin Topo Germany v7 and CN NTU 2016.30 (Unicode) working without problems now :-)
And no other problems found later.

Download Epix FW 3.10 patched (now v3.13):

    weel Garmin Epix

I can confirm that the patch is is working on Epix with firmware 3.10, it accepts new maps, BUT:

    - First: it is possible to roll back to any previous firmware by editing files GarminDevice.xml and system.xml, just the version number (carefully without word wrap). Put any lower version.

    - Version 3.10 (latest) has a VERY BIG problem (original or patched), which ver. 2.90 doesn't have: ver. 3.10 only accepts 1 img file (<4GB). Ver. 2.90 can accept at least 2, so you can have more than 4GB of data. So, for me ver. 3.10 is not useful.

When ver. 3.10 is flashed always says "Map database full" at beginning if I load more than 1 .img file. It only shows 1 file randomly, even if there are 2 on memory.

By now the best firmware is 2.90.

I don't know how to fix the multi-file problem from ver. 3.10.

    Question

I have 6 img-files on Epix with version 3.10 - no problems ever with several maps - nothing about this problem to read in the Garmin forum too.

For Software downgrade put older FW (gupdate.gcd) in the Garmin folder and start update from menue.

Interesting that you have several errors that no other users have :-)

Hi dude dirtbikermp3, maybe you can explain us why it says "Map Database Full" and there are only 2 .img files in device with firmware 3.10?
I have no idea. With previous firmwares there is no problem.

Also, I have found on post #76 you were in trouble with the version number:

With the adjust function of the patcher I can only set to 4.10 (+1.00)

I think than there are problems with the next regular realease because you loose all settings when doing a downgrade.

Better would be to update the adjust funktion to set any FW version - for example here between 3.11 - 3.19
So there are no problems with further versions which could be 3.20

Works fine with Edge 1000 (update from 5.10 to patched 5.20) All maps are working now without codepage trick. CN NTU + new Topo's
