That has the same effect as what i guessed you'd done. You cannot downgrade the firmware using WebUpdater in that way. If you wish to use WU please read the suggested section of the thread linked below, giving a generic method to downgrade.

Also below are links to posts in this thread which also give you that method and other specific methods to use for astro 320. You need to read all fully before any further downgrade attempt:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [scroll down to the information below the heading: 'But now, how to reverse back your device to a previous fw'].

    In this current thread read:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [posts #15, 16 & 17].
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [post #27].
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [post #37].
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [posts #45 to 48]

With a higher firmware version on board, you'll probably need to downgrade first to v3.60 and then to v3.40. Other users have reported in here the need for that two-step process when the unit has v3.70 or 3.80 already.

Important: Please read and understand [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and the following legal warning in Norwegian before you do anything. What you wish to do is illegal in Norway and many other EU countries:

    Hi there

Today a friend of mine asked me if I can help him upgrade his Garmin Astro 320's that he had bought from the USA . They were both on v2.80 and we upgraded to 3.80 by Web Updater. Then I realized the Radio Function was disabled for us too. So I found this forum and read it from start till the end .

So from 3.80 first I downgraded to 3.60 and then again downgraded to 3.40 and everything now works flawlessly.

Thank you guys for the info

The problem of not reading the thread before posting for help? Or the problem of being unable to downgrade the firmware? Either can be solved by reading the thread, just reading the few posts above yours will lead to all the answers.

Sorry, email addresses are not to be posted in open forum. Here's the gcd file as a rar, compressed down to 2.69MiB from 7.11MiB. It shouldn't take long to dl: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Try this file [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Unzip and place GUPDATE.GCD in Garmin folder. Firmware version in this was corrected to 6.90.

    Hi!

I would like to clarify something:

If I buy a new Garmin Astro 320 with DC40 collars in Europe and do downgrade FW to version 3.40, will my device work on "American" frequencies?

Do I need to do something with DC 40 collars?
