Default Trying to fix a bricked nüvi 1490T

Hello, I have a problem similar to the one described in 'Trying to fix a bricked nüvi 1390' thread.
I did everything as described. I was able to enter pre-boot mode to use GarminCure3.exe and Updater.exe I tried to send either a Cure or an Original firmware to my unit. Updater.exe ended successfully in both cases but I was not able to enter mass storage mode in Windows or to start the device. It was still stuck at the splash screen. I also tried to use webupdater while in pre-boot, with no result (the unit was detected and I was told that the 6.20 fw was alread there).

    Any further hint ?

    Thank you !

After GarminCure3 have you tried to see if pc could recognize your nuvi?
Cure cant boot, it only allows to connect nuvi to pc and remove faulty files. After that must flash original frmware in preboot.

Yes, I tried. My pc did not recognize nuvi, so I could not enter mass storage mode.

And that's the secret with 'bricked' units: perseverance. Persevere in accessing pre-boot, persevere in accessing MSM. Try over and over, different PC and OS sometimes helps. As kunix said, there's always the last-ditch option to erase rgn41 but i only do that as an absolute last resort if all else fails.
