Try again from c:\garmincure3\ (you have a very deep directory structure)
Delete the temp folder and the rgn file

    Open Garmincure3 as administrator
Drag the gcd file into garmincure3
    Select cure
    Press Make Firmware
    Press Updater.exe
Get your device into pre-boot mode
    Select USB and flash.

(Remember Cure is not bootable, It's just used for access to the internal Storage, Later you have to flash again in original mode)

The device can not be flashed with the correct firmware - after "Loader loading" just appears "System Software missing". Also, device can not be flashed from SD card. Erasing the memory with the command ergn not work.
    Reason:
The main memory chip physically cannot recording.
    Solution:
Just replace the memory chips on the same from Nuvi 205/205w/500/1200/1300/1400.
As far as my understanding from this case memory cheap is broken and the only solution is to resolder a new one?

When a unit cannot be flashed in preboot or via SD, yes unfortunately it's likely the memory chip is damaged.

Pull it down for parts if you don't want to go through the pain of chip replacement with reballing. Too easy to cock that up. A doodle for someone like Alexander2010 of course. You have a good screen, battery and case i assume or you wouldn't be so concerned that it's died. You may be able to pick a 465 up on ebay with a smashed screen cheap.

Also, nuvi 255/265W HWID 0827 can be converted to 465 and will perform just like an original 465. I have a 255W>465 [no BT of course] and I converted a 265W to 465 for my son who has used it daily for business deliveries for nearly a year a year without problems, even though it's considered a risky conversion by some ppl [Yours Truly was among them and will be again if one of those converted units dies].

255W and 265W are quite cheap in the States, just make sure it's not the MTK chip HWID 1091.
