Default nuvi 3790, 37xx NV Memory problem

Hi can anybody point me in the right direction ...............

I have 2 nuvi 3790 units , after updating one ( the wifes!) it shows as 37xx even though it is 3790 & it has lost some functions .................

I have read throughout the forums and now understand it's a nv memory corruption caused during the update ........therefore I will not update my unit until Garmin rectifies the problem !!

But can anybody tell me how to extract the non volatile memory from my unit and then reinstall it in 37xx

I have already downloaded Garmin Cure & RGN tool in anticipation , but a walkthrough would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks
