Ok. Did you disconnect your nuvi from the PC after you flashed the cure fw? If so, remake the cure [if known, using the version of fw on the unit at the time of it freezing], reflash in preboot and leave the unit attached to the PC. It should enter mass storage mode and then be visible in WI. If still not visible, check in Windows Disk Management in case you need to assign a drive letter manually [Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management], and if it's showing w/o a drive letter do this: Right click it; select 'change drive letter and paths'; select 'Add' and assign a drive letter.

ok finally i was to flash with the cure then reformat RMPrepUSB after i was able to see the drive on windows then i flashed with the original firmware now the gps boots properly windows sees it as a removable drive when i click on drive it is empty no files can be seen so i go to webupdater it doesn't see the drive so this is where i am right now

Create a Garmin folder in it then restart nuvi , nuvi will create garmindevice.xml in it.
After that run webupdater
You have to navigate to get to the good.

guys it worked i got my gps back everything updated with garmin express i just want to thank all of the members that took the time to help me, this the best site ever i have been a member since 2008 i love this site thanks again
