    @popotnik
    What about trying to backup all regions and then flashing some regions via sd card.
    Do you have/can get regions for this nuvi.
    If backing/up flashing regions has a problem then it might be faulty Flash
    The Nuvi could get worse at least now it's navigating.

    I've just taken a look at the video. When USB cable is connected your device shows the power icon at the top right corner. This means that this USB cable is detected as a service USB cable or as a charger cable. This is the reason why your device doesn't want to go into the mass storage mode.
    The cables mentioned above have some resistance (~47 KOhm for service USB, for example) between GND and ID pins of mini USB connector (see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]), while normal USB cable doesn't have any conductivity between GND and ID.

    I think your device has some problems with USB hardware. Maybe there is some parasite conductivity between GND and ID pins of mini USB socket.

    If you can't resolve this hardware problem you can use QuickCure3 for entering the mass storage mode from pre-boot mode. It doesn't require flashing CURE firmware and reverting to the ORIGINAL after that.

    Having the same problem with 4 different cables indicates that the problem is inside your nuvi.
    Windows version has nothing to do with the problem.

    Well spotted kunix.
    Try to clean usb connector with alcohol and a small brush (the one you get in the pharmacy)
    Try wiggling the connector but not as much as to damage it.
    Press battery icon for 10 seconds and see what it says in usb id volts with cable connected and without.
    Look also at USB device it should say usb type-B
