Triangle Garm. And another erased Nuvi 1350 - NEED HELP PLEASE!!

    Hi everyone!

I made the mistake to format the SD on my Garmin...And I've erased the wrong drive...Yay!!! Cherry on the top, it was not detected anymore by my computer.

So before bothering anyone, I made some search and try everything before asking for some help.

    So far I've done:

    1. Downloaded the latest firmware
    2. Used GarminCure3
    3. Convert the fireware to a Cure
    4. Update the Garmin (In Preboot mode) with Updater

Now I can see my Garmin on My Computer...But everything is gone!

I've try to create a "Garmin" folder but despite turning OFF and ON my device nothing appears...No Garmindevice.xml around

    And now I'm stuck!!!

What should I do next? I would like to try everything before having to send it to Garmin...My only concern is that I use it for work and I just discovered how important it was! :P

Another man who doesn't read carefully.
It's written [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] that:
"Please note that the CURE firmware will never boot, it can only enter the mass storage mode."
So you have to flash the ORIGINAL (use GarminCure3 option of the same name) firmware if you want it to boot and create GarminDevice.xml.

I forgot to mention that indeed.

After the CURE firmware I tryied to upload the Original with GarminCure3 as you mention...I'm still stuck on Garmin Splash screen and obviously can't access the storage part...

Okay. Have you tried to format the internal flash drive as suggested [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]?
If it doesn't help then let's try erasing NV. I will tell you how.

Or it's simply that I made a mistake and didn't do it correctly

    This what I did:

    - Uploaded a cure then could check on the file that I get on system storage. Which was successful
    - Uploaded a original version always by using GarminCure3 for the conversion and uploaded to my GPS...But nothing changed (Still the splash screen) and no access to storage...

By the way I just saw your nickname. Thank you for GarminCure3 ;]

You're welcome. Try formatting it with RMPREPUSB. Garmin devices can't see filesystems formatted by Windows sometimes.

From time when kunix create this wonderful tool and popey suggested using RMPREPUSB till now we found something that save time and headache for user with no't working nuvi.

1.) Create cure with kunix tool

2.) Create backup of nuvi when you have mass storage access, if you don't have it

3.) Always after you use cure FW format nuvi with RMPREPUSB

4.) Add back backup if you have it. If you don't have it Create empty folder with name Garmin

5.) Use cure tool again, create ORIGINAL FW and flash in pre boot.

6.) turn off and back ON nuvi and you will have garmindevice.xml inside. ( if you have garmindevice.tmp just rename it to garmindevice.xml)

7.) Run webupdater and download all

This procedure will save your time and headache

Thank you kunix for this great tool ( this tool save a lot of time), thank you popej for suggested RMPREPUSB ( this tool always work 100%) and thank all user who report if found something new when use this tool. Respect to all of you
