Yes. I want to format Garmin internal memory on a kenwood dnx9260BT. I want to do this because the navigation constantly reboot during trips. I tried to change the map but with no results. When the device is working, is working fine. But i have to many reboots, i i read on this forum that this problem can be fixed with a reformat with prepusb. All the posts related were for standalone garmin devices witch can be put in pre-boot mode.

    Thanks

You should have a button for device reset, but look at the manual pag 4, for instructions.
    Code:

yes, i tried that 10 times. no luck. this is the reset of the unit( actually it resets only personal preference - color, panel position, EQ and stuff like that ) and it not affect garmin software. i tried to reset garmin sowtware to default settings by pressing the screen and turn of the unit. not working.

Do reboots happen when are you listening to songs with volume up or if there is a lot of bass ?

That is not really a rule. The reboots happens even if the music is turned off. And completely random. For example....i had a 800 km trip with no reboots and a 60 km trip with 10 reboots. I do not really listen music loud in the car. I am more like i listen the radio. The unit itself do not reboot. Only the navigation.
