    If the original Garmin logo doesn't get supplied, you can make one using your Pajero logo using the same method as i did to make a 'Standard' Garmin logo for 2xxW from 'Sensis' Garmin logo in the post above yours. The method to do it is [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and if you find it too difficult, extract a backup of your present logo.bin by adapting the NV backup method [change 41 to 16 after you do the rgn 41 backup] and then post the logo bin file [16.bin]in this thread [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with a request. We'll then make it for you.

    If you want to do it yourself, here's the standard image from a US 25x5: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Just check first that your Pajero image is the same resolution 480x272 PNG.

    This is what your splash will then look like:

    Hello,

    I found this topic and I have one question. Is it possible to change logo in eTrex 20 outdoor device? I tried to export region 16 but the device didn't start the "loader".

    @mallard
    Maybe we can replace the potentially [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] in your current logo bin. Do you happen to have previously done a complete NV dump from your 1695? It's too late to do it now as the unit's stuck on the logo, you need the unit to boot further to dump regions.

    Do you know anyone with a 1695? If so we can use their unit to get the logo bin.

    I'm just wondering how far it's booting before it sticks on that image. Some units have 2 or more logo images, perhaps if its sticking on the 2nd one it maybe far enough into the boot to do an NV dump. Do you see a good image momentarily with the unit details followed by 'loading maps' at the base of the screen in small white print before it changes to that faulty image? Or does it just display the faulty one immediately with no white print at all?

    EDIT: PS ... Try this anyway, unrar it onto a clean microSD, insert to the unit with it fully off, turn on and see if it shows 'Loader' near the top of the screen. If it does, wait until it finishes [it will try to reboot], then force it off. You should then have a file named 16_backup.bin in the root of the sd. If so, post it here as a zip or rar.
