Thank you for the simple instructions.
Please where can i find this "kit" you downloaded? Thank you!
It's in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]... BUT.. It's not for you to use 'as-is'. That kit is to enable the video player on 3590. Use it only as a guide.

Do you want a coffee too ?
    How about a sock?

EDIT: Perhaps that expression 'How about a sock?' or 'Maybe a sock?' is not worldwide and may be misconstrued as to its meaning. I don't mean sock as 'a sock to the head' or 'a sock in the mouth', where 'sock' means to hit or punch... (that would be downright rude, wouldn't it?). I mean a sock that goes on your foot, in the context of 'put a sock in it' i.e. stick a rolled-up sock in your mouth (which is only slightly rude, it it not?).

    By way of explanation:

Another 'sock-related' way of attempting to silence an overly verbally demanding individual is this question: 'How are you off for underwear and socks as well?'. Which is also a slightly less polite way of saying 'Do you want a coffee, too?' which in turn is a less polite version of 'Please read the entire thread'. Or in the case of converting 37xx to 34xx reading 2 threads. Maybe there should be another thread with a combined tut to end the confusion?? Or compound it...

[Sorry Caty, delete the entire thing if you want... just couldn't stop myself....still venting...dreadfully OT i know, sorry...]

thank you for reply Catymag i run it as administrator no success ,i think what is wrong is ,when i transformed my 37xxx first time i realised the operation
with 7.10 version with success, i upgraded to version 7.20 after that i tried to enable the features i need on my newly 3490,but i did that with 7.10 version boot.bin ,because i have not the 7.20 firmware yet in my pc,so if i am not wrong what i must do is ,downloading the 7.20 version and extract the boot.bin or searching a way to extract boot.bin from my updated nuvi

i tried the the bin's inside the zip ,but no way ,no changes ,i will try the method in the post of cat2115 qoting "mrt737" downgrading to 4.80 version my problem is the same as in the post! my garmin is 3760t

Did you try to use firmware 7.x? or maybe even 6.x? I had 2 identical 3760's and the first one I did, I flashed initially using 34xx FW 4.80. Then copied the .xml files to the \Garmin and after a reboot, all the features were enabled and the xml files disappeared.

Then I tried it on my second one but went straight for 7.1 when it was available. After I had flashed it, and copied the xml files, none of the features were enabled and all the xml files were still in the \Garmin folder. So I have a feeling it has something to do with the newer firmware.

I then used the SD card method to enable the features but the only feature that didn't appear was the Video Player. So I reflashed my 3760 back to 37xx firmware, and redid the process again first starting with 34xx 4.80 firmware, then copying the xml files to \Garmin and then all the features were enabled and xml files no longer there. Then upgraded using WebUpdater to 7.10.

Hi, I'm trying again with the 3790 to activate special features ,Danger danger... i have a very little more experience jaja.Let's make it work.
I commented that one month ago update with mydashboard and perhaps there is something new that is preventing these changes.
I want to clarify something ,1) I download ''For Enabling future on nuvi 37xx'' and the command for For backup region 140 in the update.txt is ....:/reg_140.bin and is exactly the same for For write back reg 140 , but the diference is the modify archive in the root folder and Xrgn...:/reg_140.bin to active special functions it's that ok?
    2) It's just a name or is a command in/xxxxx.bin ? in ...:/reg_140.bin or ...:/140_backup.bin (last one is what i used from voyager56,catymag)
    3) what are the new files in the sd when i do ...rrgn,41,1:/41_backup.bin (NV backup with sd) i noticed that i have no new archive.
Thanks again ,I'll be back !

Voice command is not a feature to add in 34xx it's already enabled in firmware, you must have CNEU or the entire CNNAM ASR files for 34xx, that's all.
