Nuvi 5000, 8xx bricked after software update

At this point I have tested the solution for restoring Nuvi 5000/805/855/865/885 after unsuccessful firmware update. If you have a problem occurred - please contact me in PM.

Have you done an hard reset after updating?

    1. Hold your finger on lower-right corner of Nuvi screen while turning on Nuvi.
    2. Keep finger pressed until prompt appears.
    3. Touch YES to clear all user data.

All settings are restored. Saved items such as Favorites are erased, so make a back up of your data before doing it.
